Chapter 1 "TAKING A NEW PATH"

A few weeks after recovering from my PTSD, I was taken by the FM, who gave me a tour around the facility. Each room I walked into was either guarded by Chaos Insurgency Soldiers or it was filled with lots of coffins and dead bodies of SCP Foundation personnel. Looking at the dead body scattered around the room, I questioned the FM.

"Why did you take our people's dead bodies? Don't you guys have beef on us?"

The FM only chuckles at me and replies

"It's the past, now after the Engineer dead 3 years ago, I change the Organization's purpose, and yeah when we heard that one by one SCP Foundations site is captured or destroyed by the GOC, we just want the SCP Foundations staff to rest in a better place, we know we are hated because our past sins and everything we did but it's better to start a new path."

I can't believe what he says, but for now I trust his word. The FM continues the tour until we arrive at the Canteen, where many soldiers gather around the canteen, eating lunch together or just simply chatting with each other.

Each one of the soldiers focuses on their things until the TV suddenly announces a statement from the GOC Authorities.

And there he is, the General who is the culprit who killed people at the site where I was working, standing on the podium proudly with his pride.

"Good evening everyone around the world, there's a new information regardless of the future, First of all, The GOC authorities will take all country rights but in exchange of protections and peace we will offer, this is suggested for the future our world and our people, second of all after we take all country right as independent states, we will dividing some continents and area into a sector for easier transport and easier infrastructure."

The general keeps speaking with his pride, but for me and other Chaos Insurgency soldiers are only staring at the TV screen with a feeling of hatred. Those hypocrites want to manipulate public opinion for their purpose? Staring with disbelief at the TV, I look at the FM, who is not too surprised that it will become like this, and only shakes his head and sighs heavily.

The FM took my hands and led me out of the canteen. Looking at him, I can only comply because he saved my life. I was taken into the meeting room with only the two of us. The FM sits in the chair and looks at me

"Come on, sit down in front of me, I want to discuss something with you."

I sit down in front of the FM, and he proceeds to take out a contract paper. The FM gives it to me, and I read the contents of the paper. It states to join the Chaos Insurgency, I only stare at the contents for a few seconds before I look at the FM.

"What's this?"

The FM only looks at me and replies with confidence.

"I think it's time for you to pay back to us, we already took care of you for a few weeks, but don't worry about it, I only ask you to be one of my soldiers, my purpose was just to bring the GOC to death and let them die suffocating. I knew you wanted to avenge your dead brothers because of them."

I only stare at the contents while also thinking to myself, is this my way now? Becoming a soldier of the organization that was hated by the foundation's members, but they saved my life, I have to repay them somehow. The FM was waiting while pouring himself a Coffee Latte.

After a few minutes thinking, I look at the FM and give my answer.

"Alright then, I will become your soldier if that's what you want."

The FM smiles and pours me a coffee

"Good, here take the coffee, from now on you will work as my soldiers, tomorrow you will start the training."

I only nod and grab the coffee before drinking it, staring outside, I wonder if there's a chance that Arthur is still alive out there.

After that, the FM took me to the barracks for soldiers, where I will live now. Just as I arrive at the barracks, the soldiers inside the barracks immediately greet me, until the captain of the company approaches me

"So, you are Lee Han Min? I'm waiting to see your service kid, you can call me Captain Allen, better prepare yourself in the training,g kid, I know you can do it."

I nod and meet the others, one who take my interest are first Lieutenant Kiriyama Tachibana, she's not looking at me nor approach me but ahe's focusing to write a letter on her bed, I tried to approach but others asking me many questions, I'm not this social interactive but I want to be more social, introverts like me screaming inside my thoughts.

2 months passed after I joined the organization, and I've slowly gotten to know people, and sometimes I play some games with them, but I still take an interest in First Lieutenant Kiriyama Tachibana. According to other soldiers, she was a Combat Medic but had higher ranks and was on the Second Command? It's not making any sense at first glance, now it's midnight, and everyone has already fallen asleep while I'm still awake. The reason I'm still awake is probably because of the trauma in Site 19. If I remember again, why did I accept the job in the first place? I never knew something like this will happen that takes thousands of life and my brother, I can still imagine the face of my colleagues' dead body, staring at me with the cold faced that just left by its spirit, I keep staring at the bed on top of me, all I hear right now was snoring sound from other's or the bed creak like it's gonna break soon.

A few minutes have just passed, and the clock is showing that right now is 1:25 AM I should probably sleep, but I can't sleep, just because I hear someone leave the barracks and in an act of curiosity. I follow the sound of footsteps. I found myself on the second floor, and there she is, the person who left the room was no other than First Lieutenant Kiriyama Tachibana, the Second in Command of my new company. I immediately hiding and take a peek what she's doing late this night, but I only see her wearing a tank top and shorts, I think the rumors that First Lieutenant Kiriyama, I hate to admit it but I love how the lieutenant smoking at the balcony, I wanted to approach her and introduce myself but I don't have that confidence especially to someone cold to me.

Enough of seeing whocomese to this place late at night, I retreat secretly to the barracks, but Kiriyama speak that make's me scared

"I know someone's there, you better show yourself or I'm the one who will drag you out of your hiding place and put you here in front of me."

Scared, I immediately thought try to retreat but Kiriyama start count down from 3 making me more nervous, until the countdown reach 1, I show myself and there she is, Kiriyama Staring at me and signal's me to get closer, I can only obey if not my life will be endangered, getting closer to lieutenant Kiriyama, I was immediately pinned down by her into the wall and she ask me questions.

"Why do you follow me? You have something to speak with me, junior?"

I was shocked when suddenly I got pinned to the wall, trying to resist was no use, I could only reply to the questions to not make myself die for now.

"I just want to introduce myself to you, only that."

Kiriyama only stared at me with her cold face and replied

"Hm? Is that so? Then why do you act like stalking someone? You may explain it if not, I'm gonna make you reveal it myself."

I swallowed my saliva in fear and bit my tongue in desperation.

"I-I just wanted to meet and introduce myself to you, I-I'm just scared to do it, and sometimes other things took me away."

Kiriyama laughed, seeing my scared face, and let me go

"Fu Fu Fu, alright alright, you make my day better for a while."

I can only feel limp on the floor after she released me from her grasp, yet I feel it's making me active. Kiriyama, on the other hand, continues smoking and looking at nature.

Just a few minutes pass, I can only stare at the floor, while the cold of the night make me catch a cold, Kiriyama notice it and wipe my nose with her handkerchief and chuckle how cute my face when I'm scared, its like she found a humanity after a hell of war she pass, Kiriyama look at me and chuckle, I just want to begone from this world!

The next Morning, I woke up on my bed. I probably passed out that night, I messed up! I messed up my introduction to Kiriyama Last night, I just want to go from this world!

Meanwhile, Kiriyama smiles and looks at me while also taking out a picture of me passed out last night on her phone. Looking at the picture, I know I messed up and she can use it to blackmail me, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

3 years have just passed without me realizing it, and the FM decides to begin operations to start capturing GOC outposts one by one. Now my real battle to avenge my brother has just started, and this will be my new struggle for the future. Praying for myself, I wish I would survive until the GOC is destroyed completely to its roots, and I will avenge my brother, who is now in the afterlife. May God take care of his soul.
