Chapter 2: A Magnificent Entrance

Haru's right hand, at first glance, could already be said to no longer resemble a normal human hand. It had taken on a monstrous appearance, especially at the joints of his fingers, where sharp external bones had emerged.

Then, his right hand's skin turned bright red, dark purple patterns appearing on the red skin, giving it a monstrous look.

Haru's face also sported dark purple patterns, and his once normal eyes had transformed. The white of his eyes turned black, and his pupils shifted to purple. Even his originally black hair turned purple in an instant.

Naturally, Haru couldn't see the changes on his face, but he could clearly see the transformations on his right hand.

As the transformation completed, a cloud of purple mist gathered behind Haru, closely following him.

Haru felt as though a powerful strength had surged through his body. The next second, his speed increased several levels. He became a streak of purple lightning, darting through the vast snowy mountains.

"This is the additional ability of the Demon God Devourer?"

Haru couldn't help but marvel internally. This was practically a cheat-like power!

"I know. If I had come earlier, your family might still be alive. But time can't be reversed. Awaken! Let this intense and pure anger be the unwavering driving force that makes you stronger. A fragile heart cannot protect nor heal your sister, nor can it avenge your family!"

As Giyu watched Kamado Tanjiro's inner turmoil, he slowly raised his Nichirin Blade.

Kneeling in the snow, Tanjiro realized what Giyu was about to do—to kill his sister Nezuko—and his anxiety heightened.

Giyu, however, didn't pay attention to Tanjiro's emotions. The next second, he thrust his Nichirin Blade into Nezuko's chest, which Tanjiro was still holding onto.

"No, stop!" Tanjiro immediately cried out. His body reacted instinctively, and he grabbed a stone from the snow, throwing it at Giyu.

Giyu deftly blocked Tanjiro's stone with the hilt of his sword. Then, his pupils suddenly contracted, his expression changing in surprise. The unexpected event had caught him off guard.

What surprised Giyu wasn't the stone, but the sudden appearance of Haru.

In the critical moment, Haru acted decisively. With the power of the Demon God Devourer, even if he couldn't defeat Giyu, he was confident in preventing him from killing Nezuko.

Moreover, with the surprise attack, his success rate was guaranteed to be high.

Tanjiro, too, was stunned by the sudden turn of events. He had been about to grab his axe and fight Giyu, but now he froze in place.

At that moment, Haru's Demon-Slaying Blade met Giyu's Nichirin Blade. The two weapons clashed, sparking a shower of sparks.

Tanjiro, noticing Haru's eerie appearance, sniffed the air, trying to discern if Haru smelled like the demon who had killed his family.

To his disappointment, he couldn't smell the demon's scent on Haru.
