Giyu held his bleeding finger in front of Haru's face. Due to gravity, the blood dripped onto Haru's lips. After spilling several milliliters of blood, it stopped.
Then, Giyu's expression grew serious. Would Haru react to the blood? If he did, Haru would undoubtedly be a demon. If not, then he was just a special kind of human.
As time passed, Haru showed no reaction. Once Giyu confirmed that Haru was fine, he let out a sigh of relief.
Tanjiro didn't approach but stayed by his sister Nezuko's side. Although he didn't move to keep an eye on Giyu, Tanjiro still saw what Giyu was doing.
"Ah~"
After an unknown amount of time, Haru's agonized scream shattered the silence of the snowy mountain. Giyu immediately became alert.
At this moment, Haru felt as if his flesh and internal organs were being gnawed at, making him writhe in pain. In just a few seconds, Haru fell into a violent state, tearing off his shirt in the process.
His exposed upper body was covered in crimson skin, looking as though he had just crawled out of a pool of blood.
Tanjiro was startled by Haru's appearance, fear visible on his face.
Giyu, who had never seen such a scene, was equally confused.
"Blood!" Haru growled in a hoarse voice.
Hearing this, Giyu was suddenly taken aback.
Blood! Could Haru be starting to demonize? When did it happen?
"Quick! Give me demon blood! I need demon blood!" Haru, fighting through the intense discomfort in his body, spoke to Giyu while still holding onto his remaining bit of rationality.
Haru had never expected that this demonization would have such a side effect. After using it once, he had to nourish the demon within him with demon blood. What a terrible situation!
Thankfully, it wasn't human blood, or else he might have truly been considered a demon!
Haru hoped that Giyu would understand in this critical moment. "Come on! You've got to help me out here, or I might really lose control!"
Demon blood? Giyu was even more puzzled now. Haru wanted demon blood? What was going on?
Just as Giyu was confused, Haru urged again, "Hurry up! What are you hesitating for?"
With that, Haru slammed his fist into the ground, sending snow flying into the air from the immense force.
Seeing this, Giyu knew he couldn't hesitate any longer. He turned to Nezuko, the only demon here, and decided that she would be the one to give Haru the blood he needed.
Thinking quickly, Giyu grabbed Nezuko and threw her toward Haru.
Giyu moved so quickly that Tanjiro couldn't stop him and could only watch helplessly as his sister was thrown.
Tanjiro immediately rushed to try to catch Nezuko, but Giyu blocked his way.
The situation was unclear, and if Tanjiro rushed over now, it would be like walking straight into danger.
"He won't kill your sister," Giyu said to Tanjiro. "Since he didn't let me kill her, he won't kill her."
