### Chapter 15: Don't Be Afraid, Uncle Brought You Gifts!

The nursery rhyme echoed through the decaying corridors, brimming with childlike innocence.

The cameraman found himself humming along: "Vast sandy beaches, azure seawater... heart full of joy!" Childhood memories flooded back. He chuckled nervously, "This guy really knows how to set the mood. Maybe he's your fan, Peach? We should recruit him."

Their forced laughter dissolved tension. *Must be the actor's doing. Ghosts aren't real.*

Peach reactivated her mic, her filtered face a masterpiece of feigned terror. "Did you hear that, family? The legendary ghostly choir! No scripts here—mods, ban the haters!"

As they approached the fourth-grade classroom, the singing morphed into playful shrieks. Camera lights pierced the darkness, illuminating four children playing tag around scorched desks.

"Waaaaah! My head!"

A child tripped, its skull detaching and rolling toward the window like a macabre basketball. Charred scalp dripped blackened blood onto the sill.

Peach's scream died in her throat. The cameraman collapsed, equipment crashing. Livestream screens went dark as supernatural interference crackled.

*Thud! Thud! Thud!*

A hammer rhythmically tapped the bouncing skull. Xu Yang's masked face peered from the third-grade classroom. "What's the holdup? Are we... oh."

The decapitated head blinked up at him. "Bully! I'll eat you!"

*Ding!*

Xu Yang retreated, emerging moments later in grand Taoist robes. Peachwood sword in left hand, coal hammer in right, he thundered: "Impudent spirits! Why haunt this place?"

Four whimpers erupted.

*Ding! Ding! Ding!*

Xu Yang's triumphant grin faltered. *1 point each? The female ghost gave 100!*

The smallest ghost—a girl in scorched floral pajamas—burst into tears. Her companions followed suit, their wails shaking dust from rafters.

Xu Yang's resolve crumbled. "Uncle was joking!" He produced thick stacks of workbooks from his sleeve. "Look! Math problems! Vocabulary exercises! Special gifts just for you!"

The crying intensified.

*Ding!*

Behind the camera, Peach finally found her voice—a bloodcurdling shriek that startled owls from dead trees. Xu Yang sighed. *Teaching ghosts arithmetic might be harder than exorcism.*
