EPISODE 8: SIGNS OF DESTINY

The silence of the night still lingered over Luiz Fernando's house. The air was thick with the scent of dust and static energy, remnants of the battle that had just taken place. He was exhausted, his legs trembling, but adrenaline still coursed through his veins.

He looked around, trying to process what had just happened. The shadow dogs had been defeated, but something inside him told him this was far from over.

— "That was... incredible," — he murmured, looking at his hands. The blue glow had disappeared, but he knew that energy was still there, waiting to be awakened again.

He threw himself on the couch, trying to catch his breath. But before he could relax, a strange sound cut through the air.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Footsteps.

Someone was on the roof.

Luiz immediately stood up, his body tense. He grabbed a piece of wood from the floor—his only weapon at the moment—and moved toward the broken window.

The moon faintly illuminated the deserted street. Everything seemed normal. But then, he saw it.

A hooded figure was atop a nearby building, watching him.

A shiver ran down Luiz's spine.

The person remained still for a few seconds, as if wanting him to know they were there. Then, with a swift movement, they disappeared into the shadows.

— "Who the hell was that?" — Luiz murmured, his heart racing.

Before he could process the situation, a new problem arose.

Tap. Tap. Tap.

Someone was at the door.

Luiz turned toward the sound, his heart pounding uncontrollably. After everything that had happened, he wasn't sure if he wanted to open it.

But something inside him urged him to move. With cautious steps, he approached the door and turned the doorknob.

On the other side stood a tall man, wearing a long black coat and sunglasses, staring at him with an enigmatic smile.

— "Luiz Fernando, right?" — said the stranger.

Luiz frowned.

— "Who are you?"

The man slightly lowered his sunglasses, revealing eyes of an intense golden hue.

— "My name doesn't matter right now. What matters is that you're in danger."

Luiz crossed his arms.

— "Not news. I think I've already figured that out."

The man laughed, but his expression quickly turned serious.

— "You don't understand... That was just a test. They wanted to see what you're capable of. Now that they've seen your true power, they'll send something much worse."

Luiz felt a chill down his spine.

— "Who are 'they'?"

The man sighed.

— "There's a lot you still don't know. But if you want to survive... you better start learning fast."

He looked around and then handed Luiz a small device. It was a strange metallic medallion with unknown symbols engraved on it.

— "Take this. When the time comes, you'll know what to do."

Luiz hesitated for a moment, but then took the object. The moment his fingers touched the metal, a shock ran through his body, and for a brief second, his mind was flooded with visions—distant planets, monstrous creatures, battles in an unknown world.

He stepped back, breathing heavily.

The man smiled.

— "Welcome to the game, Luiz Fernando."

With that, he turned and began walking, disappearing into the darkness of the night.

Luiz stood there, holding the strange medallion, his heart racing with anxiety.

He didn't know what was coming next...But he could feel that everything was about to change.
