Luiz Fernando stood there, holding the medallion, feeling the weight of the moment. The stranger had disappeared as quickly as he had appeared, leaving more questions than answers.
He tightened his grip on the object in his hands. The metal seemed to pulse faintly, as if it were alive. The visions he had when he touched it were still fresh in his mind: distant worlds, battles, and creatures he could barely comprehend.
— "What the hell is going on?" — he murmured to himself.
Before he could think further, a sharp sound cut through the air. Luiz looked at the medallion and saw the symbols begin to glow.
Then, a voice echoed inside his mind.
"The chosen one has been marked. The cycle begins. Prepare yourself."
Luiz's heart raced. He looked around, trying to figure out where the voice was coming from, but there was no one there.
— "Who's speaking?" — he asked, feeling a chill run down his spine.
Silence.
He took a deep breath, trying to calm his mind. Everything was happening too fast. First, the shadow dogs. Then, the mysterious man. Now, this strange medallion speaking in his head.
He needed answers.
Deciding that he couldn't stand still, he grabbed his coat, tucked the medallion into his pocket, and left the house.
The night was cold, and the city seemed strangely silent. Luiz walked through the streets, feeling as though he were being watched. The sensation of being followed was strong, but he couldn't see anything.
He stopped in a deserted square, trying to gather his thoughts. But before he could decide his next move, the medallion glowed again.
This time, it wasn't just a voice in his mind. A holographic projection appeared in the air before him.
It was a woman. Tall, with grayish skin, completely black eyes, and metallic robes that shimmered like stars.
— "Finally, we meet, Luiz Fernando," — she said, her voice echoing in a hypnotic way.
Luiz took a step back, startled.
— "Who are you? What's happening?"
The woman tilted her head slightly, as if analyzing every detail about him.
— "You carry something that belongs to our world. Something that can decide the fate of many."
Luiz swallowed hard.
— "You mean the stone?"
The woman's eyes glowed when she heard that.
— "So it's true… You've already awakened part of your power. But you still have no idea what it really means."
Luiz was about to respond when a strong wind swept through the square. A chill ran down his spine, and suddenly, the streetlights began to flicker.
The woman looked around, her expression tense.
— "They are coming."
— "Who are they?!" — Luiz asked, now truly alarmed.
— "There's no time for explanations. Run!"
At that exact moment, the blue guardian looked up at the sky and saw something that made his blood run cold.
Giant creatures, with black wings and glowing eyes, were descending from the clouds toward him.
— "What the hell is that?!"
The holographic woman looked at him one last time.
— "From this moment on, Luiz Fernando, your destiny is sealed. You must fight… or be consumed by the darkness."
And with that, the projection disappeared.
Luiz looked at the approaching creatures and knew he had no choice. It was either run... or fight.
