Chapter Fifteen: Did Meng Er and Fei Yang Have Intimacy?

In the following days, I was too lazy to practice dual cultivation with Fei Yang. If he were to live like this, it would be better if he were dead.

But could I really bear to let him die? Often, I would sit beside him for several hours, gently stroking his brow, his eyes, his lips, and the horrifying scars and numerous wounds on his body.

Fei Yang, what kind of life have you lived these past twenty or thirty years? What common people, what country and world, are worth you risking your life for? You said, "Why not take the Wu hook and collect the fifty states of the mountains and rivers?" But is it only when the great building is about to collapse, or when the chaotic waves have already fallen, that one can truly be considered a man of great ambition, a man with a broad mind? But Fei Yang, in this vast universe, where in these seven realms is there a great building to uphold or a chaotic wave to stop?

And Wu Jiu is probably gone too, right? The words he spoke when his consciousness vanished were filled with ominous foreboding. My Wu Jiu's Dao heart has likely reached the state of like a mirror, where he can foresee the past and the future to some extent. He said he might have lost his consciousness entirely, and that could very well be true.

Even if it's just a possibility, the thought of it sends chills through my body. Without Wu Jiu and without Fei Yang, what meaning is there in my life?

I propped my head up and stared blankly at Fei Yang, remembering that my lady once said, "No dreams is this kind of state, right?"

But if there are no dreams left, what is there to live for?

On the seventh day, Fei Yang actually woke up.

I quickly conjured a long robe to cover the wound on my left shoulder. The pain from that wound had lessened recently, now only an annoying itch, suggesting it was healing.

Unfortunately, my movements weren't quick enough; Fei Yang had already seen everything. He couldn't move but smiled faintly.

"Meng Er, you didn't listen to me. I told you to wait at the post station outside the city; why did you come to West Lake?"

"I'm afraid you'll die. If you die, I'll have no husband."

Fei Yang's smile was somewhat bitter. "It's fine if I'm gone. Meng Er, I've been meaning to wake up and tell you that if I die, then the He He Dan won't work, right? Don't think about repaying any debts to save me; you should be with your Wu Jiu and become immortal partners."

When he said this, it reminded me of something Wu Jiu had mentioned in his Dao heart. Wu Jiu said, "Fei Yang is a good man. He has been holding on, risking his consciousness, as if he has something to say to you."

I stared blankly at him, realizing that what he wanted to say were just these few inconsequential words? Knowing that if his consciousness was injured, he would become a fool in the next life, Fei Yang risked becoming a fool just to tell me these trivial words?

Seeing me in a daze and not speaking, Fei Yang smiled. "Since I didn't die, you'll have to wait a few more years. By the way, Meng Er, that person named Li Wen is you, right? You actually came to Hong Yu Fang to snatch women from me?"

Seeing that he seemed to be in a good mood, I couldn't help but laugh. "You dare to sneak around looking for flowers and willows behind your wife's back? Be careful, or I might find a boy to accompany me."

"A boy? Well, if you really get addicted to transforming into a young man, I'll just have to show you my boyish side."

His words warmed my heart, and I giggled at him, no longer speaking. He looked at me as well, his gaze filled with the same kind of affection as Wu Jiu's, casually asking, "Meng Er, why do you have the same wounds as me?"

I didn't want to tell him, so I tilted my head and smiled, "Guess."

"How would I know? Since I'm so badly injured yet still alive, you must have done something to give me something of yours."

Fei Yang's words suddenly reminded me of something, and I was instantly delighted.

Fei Yang looked at me strangely. "What's wrong? Why are you so happy, Meng Er?"

I held his face and kissed him wildly. "Fei Yang, my husband, you don't have to die anymore. Meng Er has thought of a way!"

That day, when we practiced dual cultivation again, the situation was different from any previous times.

Mortals cannot swallow the Yu Bi, so I wrapped Wu Jiu's Bi in my consciousness and sent it directly to plant it in his Dantian. After several weeks, the spiritual energy I sent in completely flowed into his Dantian's Wu Jiu Bi, slowly circulating through his entire meridians.

After nine weeks, I withdrew my consciousness. Looking at Fei Yang, not only had the wound on his left shoulder slowly scabbed over and fallen off, but all of his old scars had also disappeared, and he had undergone a complete transformation.

I helped him sit up, adjusted his posture, and formed his hands into the reverse heavenly seal used by Wu Jiu. He sat there, and I could no longer perceive his breath; I could only see his serene face, quietly meditating. I felt as if I couldn't perceive his existence when I wasn't looking at him.

Could it be… Fei Yang has gained fortune through disaster and stepped into the innate realm in one leap?

Thinking of Wu Jiu's Bi, I felt this was very possible.

I remembered that when I was with Wu Jiu, the only risk we encountered in the human realm was when we ran into the Tianmo tribe at Youdu Mountain. Although Wu Jiu wasn't afraid of the Tianmo's enchanting magic, I was completely bewitched, forcing Wu Jiu to fight against the Tianmo.

I recalled how I, who was usually fearless and arrogant, could only hide in Wu Jiu's arms, trembling, watching him laugh off the demons. Wu Jiu used the Yu Bi to fight against the Tianmo, making it as large as a mountain to crush them, or as small as a bullet, able to defeat them without leaving a trace. Fortunately, Wu Jiu was merciful and did not use the Yu Bi as a weapon to kill them; he merely immobilized them without taking their lives.

In the end, Wu Jiu became so excited that he used the Tian Di Liu He formation to trap the mountain forest of Youdu. He didn't need to move stars or change the moon; he simply relied on the Yu Bi to fight against the Tianmo, causing chaos and excitement, defeating hundreds of demons who were utterly helpless against him.

Later, I heard Brother Chi Leopard mention that my Wu Jiu was already famous in the celestial realm, but everyone only respected him for his profound cultivation and high realm. However, after that battle, all the immortals realized that my Wu Jiu was actually quite formidable; besides respect, they also felt some fear. From then on, as we wandered in the human realm, no celestial or demon dared to provoke us anymore.

Thinking back on that time when I got into trouble and could only hide in Wu Jiu's arms, trembling while watching him laugh at the demons, my heart first filled with sweetness, then countless sorrows.

Wu Jiu almost always fulfilled my wishes and answered my questions. But he had never told me about the origin of the Yu Bi. The lady once said that when mortals cultivate to become immortals, they usually have an item to refine into a celestial weapon to protect themselves during the celestial tribulation. This Yu Bi is likely the celestial weapon that my Wu Jiu refined during his cultivation, right?

Upon thinking of this, my heart felt even heavier. Since I had given the Yu Bi to Fei Yang as an inner elixir, Wu Jiu would almost certainly have no chance to take it back unless Fei Yang could form a Yuan Ying. At that time, he wouldn't need the inner elixir anymore. But it's hard to say; ordinary inner elixirs are generally consumed during the formation of the Yuan Ying, so when Fei Yang forms his Yuan Ying, this world might no longer have the Yu Bi's trace.

Alas, I don't need to worry about these troublesome matters. Our divine beasts inherently possess a Dao heart and consciousness sea, and our Dharma body is similar to the initial formation of a mortal's Yuan Ying. The subsequent cultivation path is vastly different, but in any case, the foundation is still the spiritual energy.

The only troublesome matter in the celestial realm is the offspring of the celestial lord's family. Generally speaking, the purpose of dual cultivation between celestial partners is to cultivate, refining essence into qi, qi into spirit, and spirit into void, so they wouldn't have children. But the celestial lord's family is different; all past celestial lords have been succeeded in the celestial realm, and I've never heard of any mortal who became a celestial lord after cultivating.

However, those children of the celestial lord's family live quite comfortably in the celestial realm, and very few are serious about cultivating. As a result, they often cannot survive the celestial tribulation. Occasionally, those who rely on their parents' celestial weapons to pass the celestial tribulation are mostly useless.

I once overheard the lady talking to Sister Mountain Ghost, saying that after she and my master had children, they must reincarnate in the human realm to undergo the celestial tribulation. Boys need to endure more hardships and trials to be better off. Moreover, if my master becomes the next celestial lord, such a child must be able to bear the future celestial lord's great responsibility.

As I watched Fei Yang cultivate, my thoughts became more and more numerous and chaotic. Eventually, feeling overwhelmed, I simply stopped cultivating and wandered around the cave.

Fei Yang was truly fortunate. I hadn't walked far when I unexpectedly found a pool of thousand-year stone milk in the cave.

Wu Jiu had once said that stone milk is extremely rare in the mortal realm, so every time he descended, he would bring a few bottles from his cave to use in medicine. I didn't know what kind of heavenly paradise this was, but there was actually a whole pool of thousand-year stone milk. In the human realm, it was indeed rare.

Since Fei Yang already had the Yu Bi, my mood naturally improved. I first conjured a few jade bottles to collect some and put them in my sleeve. Then I suddenly froze.

Wait a minute, my illusion technique has always only produced illusions; how come recently the bed I conjured can be slept on, and the jade bottles I conjured can actually hold things?

I picked up a jade bottle and examined it closely. It looked no different from a real jade bottle, which was truly strange. Could it be that during these days of dual cultivation with Fei Yang, my Dao heart and cultivation have improved a bit? No, when I conjured that bed, I was still injured and had not yet practiced dual cultivation with him. How could it be related to dual cultivation and cultivation?

If this illusion technique isn't related to cultivation, then what is it related to?

It should be fundamentally different, like clouds and mud, but why can this illusion become real? Fei Yang's Wu Jiu has the ability to turn dreams into reality, but my illusion technique seems to have made great progress. Although the jade bottle will still disappear after I remove the spiritual energy, it is no longer like before, where it would turn into an illusion with a single touch.

Strange, what was I thinking when I conjured that bed?

No, I wasn't thinking about any illusion technique at that time; my mind was entirely filled with Fei Yang, and I wasn't thinking about anything else.

A long time ago, Wu Jiu said something, "One should not dwell on anything and give rise to their heart." This sentence was not something I was forced to read in a Dao book; I wonder where Wu Jiu learned it.

Could it be that my illusion technique became real because I was born from a heart that dwells on nothing?

[Note: This phrase is from the "Diamond Sutra." The Sixth Patriarch, Hui Neng, attained enlightenment upon hearing this sentence from the "Diamond Sutra."]

After being lost in thought for a while, I collected some stone milk and went back to see that Fei Yang had already awakened from his meditation, looking refreshed. I didn't say much; I took him to the pool of thousand-year stone milk.

The stone milk pool wasn't shallow; it reached just below Fei Yang's waist. He was greatly surprised and examined the thousand-year stone milk carefully. After taking a few sips, he smiled wryly, "Meng Er, you really know how to waste things. This stone milk must be over a thousand years old, right? Such a thing, a few drops in the rivers and lakes, would cause a bloody storm, and it could even overturn this cave!"

I ignored him and cheerfully found a place to sit down, dipping my feet into the milk.

Hmm, this thousand-year stone milk is indeed good, cool and smooth. The spiritual energy permeated through, making it very comfortable.

After splashing my feet around for a while, I looked at Fei Yang and smiled, "Do you know that my lady's elixir of immortality has only one and a half in the celestial realm? That elixir must contain a piece of Wen Yu to be refined, and Wen Yu takes ten thousand years to form, but I ate half a tree in one go. So what? My lady happily refined half a furnace of elixirs, saying I saved her a lot of trouble."

Fei Yang shook his head upon hearing this. "You, Meng Er, how do you expect me to support you?"

I laughed and replied, "Meng Er is easy to support. You just need to feed me some Yang Chun noodles."

I probably said something that delighted Fei Yang, as his eyes showed a hint of intimacy. Then, as I splashed around in the stone milk, he caught my feet, making me feel a ticklish sensation.

Fei Yang gently pulled my feet, and I slipped into the pool and into his embrace, splashing water everywhere, soaking our clothes, with hints of spring light visible beneath the fabric.

My face turned red, and I lowered my head. Fei Yang, however, wouldn't let me go, lifting my face to look into my eyes.

"Meng Er, did you and Fei Yang have intimacy?"

I thought that if I hid the silk, he wouldn't know anything. Who knew this person… this person… My face burned hot, and I didn't dare look into his eyes, so I tightly shut them.

Unfortunately, I couldn't close my ears; Fei Yang gently asked in my ear, "Tell Fei Yang, does Meng Er like being intimate with Fei Yang?"

I really couldn't stay here any longer. I pushed him away with all my might, jumping out of the stone milk pool to escape.

Fei Yang was a martial arts master; how could I escape from him? Just a few steps later, I was once again caught in his embrace, just like last time.

"Meng Er actually took advantage of me while I was unconscious? No, no, today I must get it back!"

I absolutely refused to speak, feeling both shy and anxious, struggling to escape again, but this guy held me tightly, and in the blink of an eye, he had carried me back to the room we had conjured, tossing me onto the bed.

It was still the heavy curtains like hanging clouds, the red candles like rosy light, and the vast brocade where my skin was like snow. However, my mood was entirely different this time.

It had been several times since I had been intimate with Fei Yang, right? That feeling was extremely painful. I found it strange; I should be very afraid, but why did I feel a bit odd? Just like when he caught my feet? But since he was there, smiling shamelessly, I desperately shrank into the bed, refusing to let him touch me.

But, but Fei Yang was really handsome. All the fierce scars on his body and face had disappeared after being soaked in the stone milk for a while. His skin, although still that bronze color, glowed with a warm sheen. That face, so heroic that it made one's heart surrender, made me just want to hide in his arms and let him cherish me well.
