"Citrine's mom, he is the murderer who killed your daughter."

The family member glanced at me, but angrily pointed at Nolan:

"You're lying, the lead surgeon was clearly Nolan."

Seeing the family's emotions were off, Vivienne immediately tensed and stood protectively in front of Nolan:

"He was the lead surgeon, that's true, but the main reason was Alaric's faulty treatment plan, which caused the accident."

She thought this would shift the blame, but the family ignored her completely:
