Elizabeth swore, she could cry.
What did this being mean by 'they were late?'
Late for what?
They had gotten here without any directions or map, the least the rude bat could do was congratulate them.
The unknown figure stepped out into the light and she sucked in a breath.
He looked young, like he was around her age.
And goodness he was beautiful, his eyes were so shiny, a light shade of blue that looked like light silver, it was so strikingly beautiful.
But it wasn't only his eyes, his whole face was beautiful, like it was hand crafted by gods.
His black hair fell into his face, barely covering his eyes.
She wanted to run her hand through the silky looking strands.
He stared down at them from his nose, he was by far taller than all of them that stood before him.
His blank face morphed into a scowl so strong she took a step back, bumping into Quinn.
"It took you an hour and a half to get here, what where you doing?, playing around the forest ?" He scoffed his eyes looking at them in an accusatory manner.
It felt like he wasn't just mad at them for being late.
"You have fifteen minutes to freshen up and meet me back here, if you are even a minute late you will be punished." He growled eyes turning into slits.
They all stood still, maybe to frozen with fear, or maybe it was because he was still in the doorway blocking the entrance.
"Get f*cking moving!"
That seemed to snap them out of their haze as they pushed past him to get inside.
They barely took in the ambiance and beauty of the cabin each person running over each other to get to the bathroom and freshen up.
Elizabeth could have sworn she saw one of the boys run straight into one of the bathroom doors.
But that wasn't her business, she new how to get away with this, all she needed was towel that she ran under a tap.
Using the wet towel, she cleaned off the grime on her skin, and changed into one of the black clothes that were provided.
She ran out first with just a few minutes to spare, because she had spent so much time trying to make her hair look acceptable.
She stood in front of him, in the spot she was in before, she didn't meet his gaze only staring down at his feet.
Something about him was disarming.
Quinn came out next, barely panting. She looked like a princess still. That somehow managed to amaze Liz.
She wondered how the girl was able to go through all that they went through and still look far better than presentable even as she wore the same clothes as the others.
Soon after the others joined them.
The last person coming back, was three minutes late.
His eyes twitched, in all his years of being an instructor he had never had people in his cabin, they never ventured this far, and when they did, they never found the phoenix's cabin.
Yet this pathetic group of freshmen had somehow found it, this meant that for the first time in a long time, he had to work and prepare them for the golden test.
He hated this job.
Yet for some reason his eyes kept on darting back to the girl in the corner, the one with fiery red hair and bright green eyes. She was a sight but he knew better than to get carried away.
" You!" He said talking to last person that stepped out of the cabin. " You came out three minutes late. That means you and your group will be punished."
He could feel the fear in the air, it almost made him smile.
"So instead of being transported to the arena, you all will jog there. Prepare yourself, it's a long run."
This time, Elizabeth felt the tears slip from her eye.
Once again she blamed Bianca
