Chapter 15 This kid is crazy.

Once connected, the voice of Jonathan, the general manager of Global Tower, came through the speaker.

"Boss, are you almost here?"

"I'll bring the executives down to the first floor to welcome you."

Berloff Reed glanced at the arrogant Mr. Odell in front of him and let out a mocking laugh.

"I'm already in the lobby."

"But your head of security here says if I don't leave immediately, he'll break my legs on the spot!"

Boom!

Jonathan felt like a thunderbolt had struck his head, leaving him completely stunned.

That idiot Mr. Odell!

Threatening the new boss? Was he out of his mind?

Jonathan wiped the sudden beads of sweat from his forehead, his expression panicked. "Boss, please hand the phone to the head of security. I'll deal with that blind fool myself!"

Berloff smacked his lips. "Alright."He handed the phone to Mr. Odell. "You know Jonathan, right? He wants to talk to you. Go ahead and take it."

Mr. Odell's heart skipped a beat. "What did you say? Jonathan? Our general manager?"

"Are you kidding? How would you have manager Jonathan's number?"

Hearing this, Eliza was taken aback, then sneered. "Berloff, you really know how to put on a show, don't you?"

"Manager Jonathan is the top dog at Global Tower. How could a nobody like you know someone so important?" Hudson sneered, his face full of disdain. "Even I have to book an appointment days in advance just to see Manager Jonathan. Who do you think you are, throwing his name around to scare people?"

Mr. Derek shook his head and sighed. "This kid is getting crazier by the day."

"I've been trying to invite Manager Jonathan for a meal to discuss the office rent, and even that requires a week-long wait," he continued. "And here you are, just a regular employee under me, claiming you can call him directly? Who are you trying to fool?"

Mr. Odell's face turned red with anger as he glared at Berloff Reed. "Kid, are you messing with me?""Get out of here right now!" he shouted. "If you don't, and we have to break your arms and legs, don't blame us for being ruthless!"

Berloff calmly put away his phone and spoke slowly, "Manager Jonathan, did you hear all that?"

"If you're not here in three minutes, I'm going to get beaten up by your subordinates."

Jonathan jumped up from his chair, practically tripping over himself as he rushed out of his office. "Boss, please wait for me. I'll be there in three minutes!"

"If any of those bastards dare to touch a hair on your head, I'll skin them alive today!"

Berloff Reed nodded and hung up the phone directly.

"Everyone, don't be so impatient. Jonathan said he'll be down in just three minutes."

"If he doesn't show up, proving I'm lying, I'll slap myself for three minutes right here."

"How about that?"

Hudson threw his head back and laughed. "Alright, kid, if you're so eager to dig your own grave, we'll gladly help you!"

Mr. Odell sneered at Berloff's claim. "A nobody like you? Even if I gave you a whole day and night, Manager Jonathan wouldn't spare you a glance!"

Eliza chuckled, looking at Berloff. "Remember, you said it yourself. Three minutes of self-slapping if he doesn't show up!"

"Haha... I can't wait to record this and post it on social media. You'll be the laughingstock of Silk City!"

Mr. Derek shook his head in resignation. "This kid should've just tucked his tail and left the Global Tower. Now he's really asking for it. Doesn't know his place!"

Berloff remained calm, his sharp gaze sweeping across everyone's faces.

"Have you ever considered that if Jonathan does show up and confirms my identity as the new owner of Global Tower, what will happen to you clowns?"

"You?" Mr. Odell scoffed, laughing coldly. "Even if you were reincarnated several times, you couldn't afford Global Tower!"

Hudson and the others looked at Berloff with disdain.

This kid really doesn't know when to quit.

At this point, he still dared to boast shamelessly.

Meanwhile, Jonathan rushed into the executive elevator as if his life depended on it, heading straight to the first floor.

As soon as the elevator doors opened, Jonathan was ready to sprint but was stopped by an elderly man with a head full of white hair.

"Manager Jonathan, our trading company is having some cash flow issues. Could we delay the payment of next quarter's rent by a few days?"

Jonathan frowned, clearly annoyed, and sidestepped the old man.

"The Global Tower was just bought out. I don't have the authority to make that decision. Come with me and ask the new boss."With that, Jonathan hurriedly made his way to the lobby.

The elderly man was stunned. "What? The owner of Global Tower has changed? I need to get acquainted with the new boss and hope for some leniency."

He quickly followed Jonathan, running towards the lobby.

At this moment, Jonathan was both anxious and furious. That damn security captain had a death wish, daring to disrespect the new owner, Berloff Reed.

If Berloff's first visit to Global Tower ended with him being mistreated by Jonathan's subordinates, things would get interesting. Not only would Berloff become a laughingstock among the elite, but Jonathan and the other executives would also become pariahs.

Forget about keeping their jobs; they'd be lucky if Berloff didn't have them torn apart.

Jonathan had been in Silk City long enough to know exactly how those wealthy young men could be.

If anyone dared to embarrass these prestigious young heirs, they could expect to be utterly destroyed. And Berloff Reed, who had just acquired the Universal Building, was seen by Jonathan as the most elite of them all."Please, let nothing go wrong... I hope I'm not too late!" Jonathan prayed fervently as he rushed over. Finally, after two and a half minutes, he appeared in front of Berloff and the others.

By this time, the entire first floor was packed with onlookers.

Mr. Odell, seeing his superior Jonathan suddenly appear, was startled and hurried to greet him.

"Manager Jonathan, what brings you here?"

Could it be that kid who called him over? Mr. Odell's eyes were filled with suspicion, but he quickly shook his head. Impossible. One was a regular insurance agent, and the other was the general manager of a property company. They were worlds apart, like a god in the heavens and an ant on the ground.

Hudson, noticing Jonathan, nudged Mr. Derek beside him.

"Mr. Derek, this kid refuses to leave. It's up to you now."

"Handle this, and I'll introduce you to some big insurance clients. You'll be more than satisfied!"

Upon hearing this, Mr. Derek was overjoyed and patted his chest in assurance. "Mr. Hudson, don't worry. I've got this covered!"He took a few steps forward and greeted the panting Jonathan with a nod.

"Manager Jonathan, this guy has a terrible record at my insurance company, and I fired him on the spot."

"He shamelessly refuses to leave and even claims to be the new owner of your Global Tower. Isn't that ridiculous?"

Eliza crossed her arms, fuming. "We should call a mental hospital to take care of this lunatic."

Mr. Odell cautiously asked, "Manager Jonathan, should we restrain this guy first?"
