This Kawasaki heavy motorcycle, with its powerful engine and a top speed of an astonishing 250 miles per hour, cost Eleanor nearly a million dollars out of her own pocket. With the bike's agile handling, Eleanor was confident she could outrun even the fastest sports cars.
On the other side, after exiting the highway and getting onto the state road, Berloff Reed slowed down the car.
"Brother Berloff, why did you suddenly get off the highway?" Trista asked, bewildered by Berloff's unexpected move.
They were so close to winning. Why give up an almost certain victory? Wouldn't this mean they were conceding defeat to those rich brats?
"Heh, we had no choice but to bail!" Berloff smacked his lips, still feeling a bit shaken. "I didn't expect the police to set up an ambush at the city highway exit."
"If we hadn't left early, we would have walked right into their trap."
Jasmine's eyes widened in shock as she covered her mouth. "Oh my gosh! That was close! We almost ended up in jail."
Trista pouted and tugged on Berloff's sleeve. "Brother Berloff, does this mean the sports car you promised us is gone?""Whimper... I don't want that!"
Berloff Reed chuckled, "So, you feel like you got nothing out of kissing me twice and that it's unfair, right?"
"How about I kiss both of you back, one for each?"
Blush!
Jasmine's face instantly turned red, making her look even more beautiful.
She lightly spat at Berloff, "Pfft!"
Trista giggled and playfully slapped Berloff on the shoulder.
"Brother Berloff, you're so bad! I can't stand you!"
Woo-woo!
Just as Berloff was about to continue teasing them with a mischievous grin, a piercing siren blared from behind.
In the rearview mirror, he saw a black motorcycle with flashing police lights quickly closing in.
"Darn it!"
Berloff's heart sank, and he frowned deeply.
He hadn't expected the police to be so sharp. After catching those rich kids, they must have realized there were others involved and chased after them.
"Brother Berloff, what do we do? The police are coming to catch us!" Trista's face fell, her voice trembling slightly.
"Wait, that's not a police officer; it's a policewoman. We should call her 'officer,' not 'uncle,'" Jasmine corrected, still managing to stay calm.
"Even if she's a cop, getting caught won't end well for us! We're doomed!" Trista clung nervously to Berloff Reed's sleeve, her entire demeanor filled with anxiety.
"Don't worry, she won't catch us!" Berloff reassured her. He glanced back and saw only one police motorcycle in pursuit, which made him breathe a sigh of relief.
"Hold on tight!" he shouted.
Roar! In the next second, Berloff floored the gas pedal. The Koenigsegg One, which had been cruising at a slow speed, roared to life and sped off.
"Hmph! Let's see where you think you can run!" Eleanor, riding a Kawasaki heavy motorcycle, scoffed. A glint of disdain flashed in her eyes.
Eleanor was a renowned racer in the Silk City Motorcycle Racing Association. Her years of law enforcement had made her intimately familiar with every road in Silk City. Coupled with the top-tier motorcycle worth millions beneath her, she didn't see the silver-gray Koenigsegg One ahead as a threat.
Vroom! Eleanor twisted the throttle hard, and the black Kawasaki roared as it chased after Berloff.
"Damn it! This guy dares to push his speed over 186 miles per hour on the highway!" A few minutes later, Eleanor's black Kawasaki was closing in on the silver-gray Koenigsegg One on a straight stretch of road.
She couldn't believe it. Berloff Reed was so reckless. Speeding on the wide highway was one thing, but doing it on a narrow two-lane country road was insane.
"Hmph! The curve is coming up. Once I overtake him, I'll make sure to stop him!" Eleanor thought confidently as they approached the bend.
Compared to cars, motorcycles were more nimble and agile around corners. Eleanor was sure that with her superb skills, she could easily overtake Berloff on the first curve and block his car, forcing him to stop.
Roar! The silver-gray Koenigsegg One and the black Kawasaki reached the curve, one after the other, in a matter of seconds.
The next moment, Eleanor's eyes widened in disbelief. The Koenigsegg One, traveling at over 186 mph, didn't slow down at all. Instead, it executed a high-speed drift, smoothly and effortlessly taking the curve.
The entire maneuver was so graceful and fluid that it seemed even easier than driving on a straight road.
"Damn it!" Eleanor gritted her teeth, watching helplessly as Berloff's Koenigsegg One vanished from sight.
After two more curves, Eleanor completely lost track of the silver supercar. Frustrated, she had no choice but to stop her motorcycle.
"Captain!" she radioed in, "I lost that jerk!"Lincoln was stunned when he received Eleanor's call.
"What? You're the famous race queen of Silk City, and even you lost him?"
Eleanor bit her red lip, a flash of frustration and embarrassment in her beautiful eyes.
"That guy can take corners at top speed. It's insane. I couldn't keep up."
"Luckily, the camera on my car caught his license plate."
"Don't worry, I'll catch him!"
...
After shaking off Eleanor, Berloff Reed rove his Koenigsegg One into the city.
"Trista, where do you and your sister live? I'll take you home."
Trista crossed her arms and pouted, "Hmm..."
"Brother Berloff, you promised us a ride in the supercar, and now you're just sending us home?"
"No way, you have to treat us to a big meal. We're going to make you pay!"
Berloff laughed heartily, "Alright, it would be my honor to treat two lovely ladies to dinner."
"What do you want to eat? Tonight, it's on me."
Trista's eyes sparkled as she smiled, "Let's go to the Four Seasons Hotel. They have an $800-per-person seafood buffet I've been eyeing for a long time."
Berloff nodded and drove straight to the Four Seasons Hotel parking lot in the city.
Upon arriving at the eighth-floor seafood buffet, Trista's eyes lit up with excitement. She cheered and dragged her sister, Jasmine, to grab plates, ready to feast.
After enjoying a delightful meal, Trista held a glass of wine from the drinks section, continuously clinking glasses with Berloff Reed."Brother Berloff, I'm so happy to meet you today. Come on, let's have another drink!"
"Hehe, this imported wine is really good, so smooth and tasty. Sis, you should drink too!"
With Trista's enthusiastic encouragement, both Berloff and Jasmine kept drinking.
An hour later, Trista, like an octopus, clung to Berloff as they stumbled into the hotel elevator, both clearly drunk.
"Brother Berloff, this girl is a handful. I'm really sorry for the trouble," Jasmine apologized, her face flushed with embarrassment."It's no problem. As long as everyone's having fun!" Berloff waved it off. "I've booked a suite at the hotel. You two can rest well tonight."
Feeling Trista's soft and curvy body against him, Berloff sighed inwardly.
Damn it! They're twins, but how can their alcohol tolerance be so different? If both were drunk right now, I might have enjoyed the company of both sisters tonight.
