allies

Rei didn't know how much time had passed. Days? Weeks? Maybe even months. Time felt strange in the wild—there was no calendar, no clocks, only the rise and fall of the sun, the changing scents of the wind, and the constant battle for survival.

But one thing was certain.

He was growing stronger.

It wasn't just in his body—though that, too, had changed. His endurance had become stronger allowing him to move tirelessly for hours. His wounds healed within hours, his muscles recovered almost instantly, and his senses had sharpened to an unnatural degree.

But it was more than just physical. His mind was evolving.

He could think faster, process multiple things at once. He could recall every single event in his life with absolute clarity. And, most importantly—

He had begun to understand the energy of this world. The Energy That Sustains All Life

Rei sat cross-legged at the entrance of his cave, breathing deeply, his eyes shut as he focused on the invisible force around him.

It was everywhere.

The trees, the grass, the soil—it pulsed with a life force, an energy that was the very foundation of this world. It was in Pokémon, strengthening them, empowering them, allowing them to defy logic with their abilities. It was the same energy that made humans here stronger than those in his past life.

And, most importantly, Rei had learned to devour it.

Not in a way that harmed the world, but in a way that let him absorb and refine it, making himself stronger with each breath, each heartbeat.

This was his new meditation technique.

At first, it had been a simple experiment, a way to replace sleep. But soon, he found that through this meditation, he could draw in the energy of the world and enhance himself. His strength grew, his reactions became sharper, his body more resilient.

Rei also develop a technique by putting the energy in his body towards his eyes. This allowed him to see the world better. It also allows him to see the potential of pokemon around him whenever he wanted. He can see the potential through the colors in the pokemon. From what he can see most pokemon have a red color in them.

And so every night, instead of resting, he sat in deep meditation, refining his power, strengthening his very existence.

And through this power, he had discovered something even more fascinating.

The Power to Heal

It had started with an injured Oddish.

Rei had been wandering near a small pond when he found it, lying weakly on the ground, its leaves tattered and torn. A battle? A predator's attack? He wasn't sure.

At first, he had no reason to help.

But something inside him—something instinctual—urged him to reach out.

When his hand touched the Oddish, a strange warmth spread from his palm. He could feel his power flowing into it, like a river of unseen energy. Before his eyes, the Oddish's wounds closed, its torn leaves mended, and the small Pokémon slowly stood up, its eyes wide with shock.

And then—

"You… you healed me?"

Rei froze.

The Oddish had spoken. And somehow, he understood it.

Not in the way humans understood Pokémon speech—not just guessing from expressions and sounds. No, this was true understanding. He could hear the meaning, the emotions behind the words, as clearly as if it had spoken his own language.

His power didn't just heal—it connected him to all living things. This power seem to allow him to control a unique energy that he can use to heal and nurture anything inclueding himself. This power seem to have all attributes in it not just leaf or fire type but all of it.

Word of his ability spread fast. At first, the herbivore pokemon avoided him out of instinct. After all, he was a predator, a being that ate Pokémon meat and thrived in the wild like a beast. But after healing several injured Pokémon, their attitudes shifted.

They approached him—not with fear, but with curiosity.

The Oddish Clan, ruled by a towering Vileplume, had been the first to recognize him. Vileplume had been skeptical at first, watching as Rei healed several of its wounded kin. But after seeing the results, it had nodded in approval. It was also the first pokemon, Rei saw with a yellow glow.

"You are different from the humans we know," Vileplume had said. "From this day forward, the Oddish Clan recognizes you as an ally."

Then came the Ludicolo tribe.

One day, Rei had found their leader—a battle-worn Ludicolo with a scarred eye—injured near a riverbank. He had healed it, and in return, the Ludicolo had pledged his tribe's protection. It also had a yellow glow.

"You may drink from our waters, travel through our lands," the Ludicolo had told him. "If danger comes, we will fight beside you."

But the most surprising ally had been a Tropius. A massive, winged Pokémon that wandered alone, avoiding most creatures, it had been wary of Rei at first. But after he healed its old wounds, it had lowered its head in gratitude. It was also the first pokemon he saw with a green glow.

"You are… unique," Tropius had said. "I owe you a debt. Though I can't leave this place since if I do my territory will be attacked by other pokemon since I am alone. If you ever need my knowledge you can come to me."

With these alliances, Rei's influence in the wild grew.

He was still a predator, a hunter, but he no longer walked alone. The Pokémon of the forest had begun to see him as something different—not quite human, not quite Pokémon.

Something in between.

He had no idea what the future held. But one thing was clear. He was a part of this world now.
