Two months had passed since Rei returned from the forest. In that time, all the resources he had gathered—berries, herbs, and supplies—had finally run out.
But in exchange, his Pokémon had grown immensely.
Staraptor was nearing Gym level. Its Sky Wing Pokéblocks had strengthened its flight to the point where it could slice through trees with a single Air Cutter. It was now a true king of the skies.
Even more surprising was Wooloo.
Wooloo had broken into Elite level.
This was unheard of—even Arnold and Elise, who had experience raising Dubwool, were shocked. Arnold's Dubwool had only recently reached Elite level, yet Rei's Wooloo had done it in two months.
It was thanks to two things:
1. Rei's power—his ability to refine energy, train effectively, and push Pokémon beyond their limits.
2. Special Pokéblocks—nutrient-rich food designed to maximize Wooloo's growth. Rei also discovered that by using his power like a tool he can make the materials blend better and make it stronger.
The result?
Wooloo was now bigger, fluffier, and sturdier than any normal Wooloo. It also can evolve but Rei asked it to supress it. He thinks that breaking through the level through evolution is worse than evolution due to breaking though level. So he wants Woolo to become an elite level pokemon before evolution.
It had become so popular that even the village children had started playing with it.
"Big Brother Rei! Can we ride Wooloo again?"
A small girl with short brown hair ran up to him. She was Theo's little sister, Mila. Behind her, two other village children followed—Haru and Lin, both six years younger than Rei.
Rei sighed but smiled. "You guys just played with him yesterday."
"But Wooloo is so soft!" Mila protested. "And he lets us bounce on him!"
Wooloo baaa'd happily, lying down as if inviting them.
"Alright, go ahead," Rei chuckled.
The three children cheered and climbed onto Wooloo's thick wool, bouncing like they were on a living trampoline.
"Haha! Wooloo is the best!" Haru laughed.
"One day, I want a Wooloo too!" Lin declared.
Rei crossed his arms, watching them.
His Wooloo was proof that Pokémon could grow stronger with the right training. If he could do this with Wooloo, what else could he accomplish?
After checking on his Pokémon, Rei made his way to Elder Garon's house.
The elder sat by a wooden table, sipping tea. When Rei entered, he raised an eyebrow.
"Ah, Rei. Have you finally decided on your next step?"
Rei nodded. "Elder, I want to make a living by training Pokémon. But I need money. What do you think I should do?"
Elder Garon set his cup down and stroked his beard. "Hmm… if you wish to make a living, there are a few options. You could work as a breeder, but that requires experience and connections."
Rei frowned. "That will take too long. I need something I can do now."
Elder Garon nodded. "Then, there is another path—becoming a registered Pokémon Trainer."
Rei's eyes widened. "Registered Trainer?"
The elder smiled. "Yes. You see, the Pokémon League allows trainers to register officially. Once registered, you can accept tasks—requests given by the League, other trainers, or even normal people. Some tasks involve battling, escorting, or even finding lost Pokémon. It is one of the main sources of income for trainers."
Rei's mind raced. This was it.
If he could register as a trainer, he could start earning money, traveling, and making stronger Pokémon.
"Where do I sign up?" he asked.
Elder Garon chuckled. "Go to the Pokémon Center in town. There, you can officially register and begin your journey."
Rei clenched his fist. This was his next step.
And so after some preparaton, Rei flew with Elder Garon to the nearest city near his village, Sandal City. This city is also a rare city with it's own gym. It does have to benoted that the region that Rei is a small region named the Malayu region, famous for their fauna.
After arriving in the city, Rei made his way toward the Pokémon Center. Behind the counter stood a Nurse Joy, wearing a traditional white outfit.
She looked up and smiled. "Good morning! How can I help you?"
Rei stepped forward. "I want to register as an official Pokémon Trainer."
The nurse's expression brightened. "Ah, so you're finally of age! Please fill out this form."
She handed him a Trainer Registration Form, which included:
Name: Rei
Age: 10
Hometown: Oakvale Village
Pokémon: Staraptor, Woolo
After signing, he returned the form. The nurse took out a small rectangular device—a Pokédex—and pressed a button. A red light scanned Rei's face and fingerprint.
"Processing… Registered!"
She handed him a Trainer Card, a small metallic card with his name and ID number.
"Congratulations, Rei. You're now an official Pokémon Trainer!"
Rei gripped the card tightly. This was it. The start of his journey.

Accepting His First Task
"Now that you're registered," the nurse continued, "you can take League-approved tasks to earn money. We have a few requests from local townspeople."
She showed him a wooden board filled with paper notices.
Rei scanned through them. Some were simple:
Help gather berries (10 Pokédollars)
Escort an elderly villager to the next town (15 Pokédollars)
Capture a Rattata causing trouble (20 Pokédollars)
But one caught his eye.
Wild Mankey Stealing Food! (50 Pokédollars)
Rei smirked. A battle task.
He pointed at it. "I'll take this one."
The nurse nodded. "Good choice! The Mankey has been harassing the village's eastern farms. You'll need to defeat it or capture it."
Rei turned to leave.
Staraptor flapped its wings. Wooloo baa'd excitedly.
His first real battle as a registered trainer was about to begin.
