Kyogre's Scale

It's been 2 years and 11 months since Rei cane back from the forest. He is now 13 years old.

On the vast ocean that stretchs endlessly in all directions, its surface barely disturbed by the occasional rolling wave.

Beneath the water, hidden in the shadow of a massive black-metal cargo ship, a small, nearly invisible object moved—Rei's homemade underwater vessel made with the help of Lycanrock.

Inside, Rei's sharp eyes reflected the dim glow of the control panel. His breathing was slow, controlled. His mission was clear: steal Kyogre's Scale before it reached Team Aqua's main lab.

Rei pressed a button, and a soft pulse rippled from his vessel, scanning the hull of the ship above.

A blue-highlighted outline appeared on his screen, marking the storage bay where the scale was kept. He exhaled slowly.

"Time to move."

Phase One: Infiltration

The small submarine drifted under the ship until it reached a maintenance hatch submerged beneath the hull. Rei tapped his Pokéball.

A shadow slithered from behind him, merging into the cold steel. Mimikyu's eyes gleamed from within the darkness.

"Go." Rei's voice was barely a whisper.

Mimikyu's shadow melted into the metal, seeping through the cracks. It reappeared inside the ship, behind a cluster of steel crates. With unnatural silence, it glided along the walls, scouting the area.

Inside, armed Team Aqua grunts patrolled the storage bay, chatting among themselves.

"I still don't get why we're transporting this thing with a ship. Ain't it better to take it straight to HQ with a flying pokemon?"

"Orders from above. Just do it"

Mimikyu listened, then faded back into the floor. Moments later, Rei's wrist device flickered—Mimikyu had relayed the layout of the room.

"Five guards, one scientist, security cameras. No problem."

---

Phase Two: Disable Security

Rei exited the submarine, his lightweight black diving suit allowing for smooth movement in the water. He grabbed onto the ship's hull, climbing carefully using a magnetic grip tool.

At a lower deck airlock, Hanuape's Pokéball clicked open.

A faint purple glow surrounded the hatch's lock, and with a quiet hum, it twisted open without a sound. Rei slipped inside.

He moved through the dimly lit corridors, avoiding patrolling guards. Above him, security cameras scanned the hallways in slow, predictable motions.

He flicked his fingers.

Hanuape's psychic energy pulsed. The nearest camera froze in place, stuck in a loop of empty footage.

Rei smirked.

"Perfect."

He continued forward, stepping deeper into the storage bay.

Phase Three: The Heist

The Kyogre Scale rested inside a reinforced glass case, pulsing with an eerie blue glow. It radiated power—an ancient, primal energy that sent a chill down Rei's spine.

He crouched behind a crate, watching the guards.

Time to act.

With a flick of his hand, Mimikyu spread its shadows across the floor, seeping toward the lights. The room dimmed, flickering into near-darkness.

"Tch—damn power issues again?" One of the guards grumbled.

Before they could react, Hanuape struck.

A silent wave of psychic energy swept through the room. The guards froze in place, their minds clouded in a haze.

Rei moved.

Swift, precise.

He sprinted to the glass case, placing a small device on the lock. A soft click—the mechanism disengaged.

The Kyogre Scale hummed as he lifted it.

"Got it."

Suddenly—

ALARM BLARING.

"INTRUDER ALERT!"

One of the guards resisted Hanuape's psychic hold and slammed the emergency switch.

The room flooded with red lights.

Rei's heart pounded. No time to be subtle now.

---

Phase Four: Escape

Guards stormed in, releasing their Pokémon. Mightyena, Crawdaunt, Sharpedo, etc

Mimikyu's shadow tendrils lashed out, slamming into the first Mightyena, sending it crashing into the steel wall.

Hanuape blurred, vanishing from sight.

A moment later—a Crawdaunt crumpled, its body slammed into the floor.

"Damn it! Surround him!"

Too late.

Rei grabbed a smoke grenade from his belt and hurled it.

BOOM—a thick black fog filled the room.

Rei sprinted toward the emergency hatch, Hanuape and Mimikyu covering him.

The last thing the Team Aqua grunts saw was a shadowy figure disappearing into the abyss.

Phase Five: Mission Complete

Rei dove into the ocean, swimming toward his submarine. The Kyogre Scale was secure.
