Mimikyu's Mischief

It was a bright and sunny afternoon near Rei's farm. A group of kids from the village had wandered into the nearby meadow, playing tag and laughing as they ran around. They had no idea that something was watching them from the tall grass.

That something was Mimikyu.

Hidden in the shadows, the little ghost-type peeked out from beneath its ragged disguise, its beady black eyes glinting mischievously. It had been watching these kids for a while now, curious about their silly games.

And today… it decided to join.

---

Mischief #1: The Floating Berry

One of the kids, a boy named Taro, reached down to grab a berry from his bag—only to find it floating in midair.

"Wha—?" Taro blinked in confusion as the berry slowly drifted away.

His friends stopped playing and stared.

Then, the berry suddenly shot into the sky and landed right on Taro's head with a soft plop.

"GAAH! A ghost!!" Taro screamed, sending the other kids into a panic.

From behind a bush, Mimikyu giggled silently.

---

Mischief #2: The Invisible Tug-of-War

Two other kids, Mei and Riku, were playing tug-of-war with a piece of rope when suddenly…

The rope was yanked out of their hands!

It hovered in the air for a second before wrapping itself around a tree like a snake.

The kids screamed and ran.

Mimikyu cackled.

---

Mischief #3: The Shadow That Moves

One of the younger girls, Yuna, noticed something strange.

"Hey… my shadow is acting weird…"

The other kids turned to look—and sure enough, Yuna's shadow was moving on its own.

It stretched, wiggled, and even waved at them.

Then, it jumped off the ground.

"AAAAAAAAAHHH!!"

The kids bolted back to the village, screaming about ghosts.

---

Mimikyu, still hiding in the shadows, trembled with laughter. It had never had this much fun before!

But before it could pull off another prank, it felt something pick it up by the scruff.

A very familiar voice sighed.

"Mimikyu… what did I say about scaring human children ?"

Mimikyu slowly turned its head to see Rei, standing with his arms crossed.

Caught red-handed.

Mimikyu quickly snuggled against Rei's chest, acting innocent.

Rei sighed again, patting its disguise. "Fine. Let's go home, you little menace."

Mimikyu cheered, already planning its next prank.

And so stories of a monster hunting kids slowly spread in the village.
