Ever since he lost the hair at the top of his head, Hanuape had been in deep denial.
At first, he tried ignoring it.
Then, he started rubbing all sorts of random things on his scalp—Oran Berries, Pokémon vitamins, even mud. Nothing worked.
He even asked Rei if he could use his skill to make a pokeblovk could help, but the only thing he got was an awkward pat on the shoulder.
"Sorry, buddy... I can't make hair grow." Said Rei witha sad face. 'Well not for you, after all having my own bald monkey is very funny' thoight Rey
Hanuape was devastated. But not all hope was lost.
One day, as he sulked under a tree, Elder Garon walked by.
The wise old man rubbed his own smooth, bald head and gave Hanuape a knowing nod.
"I understand your pain, my son. I too once had luscious hair."
Hanuape's eyes widened. "You did?!"
Elder Garon sighed dramatically. "Yes... but that was long ago."
The two shared a moment of silence. Then, Elder Garon put a hand on Hanuape's shoulder.
"It's time we face reality, my friend. Or... we find a solution."
Hanuape's eyes burned with hope. "A solution?!"
Elder Garon grinned. "We buy a wig."
And so, the odd duo—an elderly man and a bald monkey—boarded a Pidgeot and soared towards Sandal City, the best place to buy wigs.
As they entered the wig shop, the shop attendant, a human with a Meowstic standing next to him greeted them politely.
"Welcome! How can I help you fine gentlemen today?"
Hanuape crossed his arms. "I need hair."
Elder Garon nodded. "Preferably something dignified."
The shop attendant smiled and gestured towards a wall full of wigs.
"We have a variety of options!"
They were shown:
A wig made from Meowth fur – Soft, sleek, but a little too smug-looking.
A wig made from Tauros mane – Strong, but too wild and unkempt.
A fancy Delcatty-style wig – Too elegant.
A Wigglytuff-inspired poofy wig – Too round.
Nothing felt right.
Until—
Hanuape saw it.
A beautiful silver wig, shimmering under the store's lights. It looked majestic, noble, and perfect.
Hanuape grabbed it, placed it on his head, and felt whole.
"This. This is the one."
Elder Garon wiped away a tear. "You look magnificent, my son."
With his newfound confidence, Hanuape walked out of the shop a new man—er, monkey.
From this day forth, he would never be known as a bald Primeape again!
At least... that was the plan.
---
A Few Days Later…
Hanuape was training with Staraptor in the open fields. The two sparred fiercely, exchanging blows and dodges with incredible speed.
But then—
A strong gust of wind blew through the battlefield.
Something lifted off Hanuape's head.
He froze.
His wig—his precious silver wig—soared into the sky.
Hanuape jumped. "NOOOOOOO!!"
Staraptor watched silently as the wig disappeared into the horizon, never to be seen again.
Hanuape fell to his knees, clutching his bald head.
"...Why does the world hate me?"
Staraptor patted his shoulder. 'Sorry buddy but Trainer's order' thought Staraptor.
Hanuape sighed. Maybe it was time to accept reality.
...Or maybe it was time to buy glue.
