CHAPTER 7

"That's absurd!" Zhan exclaimed after they received a message from the Queen. She was on her way with guards, Ian and Han.

"She's going to behead Luo?" Lin asked scared. He got traumatized after seeing their fathers' head roll on the floor with blood dripping from Yen's sword.

"Or have his eyes and limbs removed?" Is she out of her mind?" Lee fired furiously. Luo froze; he couldn't believe what he had just heard. He thought the princess loved him, turns out she was one of them in the end.

"Calm down, Lord Yen will forgive this out." Lei said calmly, assured that Yen would have a way to save his brother, he loved every single one of them.

"You're so foolish, how could you have done that? You should have your ears removed too." Mhu said to Luo. He just turned around and left, disgusted by what his brother had done. Even Yen found him scary sometimes.

"I'm sure Han doesn't know about this. She a noble lady and must've loved him so much to act out of line doing something of that manner." Lee said to console Luo, he couldn't imagine how he felt.

"If anyone's head falls off it'll be Ian's or Han's." Yen stated coldly making the Queen's messengers gulp. He studied with Ian and other noble kids when they were younger; he knew how evil Prince Ian was.

Slowly, Luo began to feel relieved.

"I guess Luo is a bride thief now?" Yi said jokingly. He was disappointed and hurt since he had started to like Han.

"Shut up Yi, you should've let him leave when he asked to get the medicine instead!" Lei fired at Yi causing him to leave the meeting hall.

#I would've protected her.# He thought on his way out.

"It's pure evil to make you kill your brother! What will you do Lord Yen?" Lei asked Yen worried. She wasn't sure of what would happen but all she knew was that Han had to pay.

"Wait till she arrives." Yen answered and paused, sighing as he thought of her.

"How's Clea doing?" He asked making everyone fall silent, staring at him in disbelief. He, Lord Gu was worried about her in that dire situation?

"Has anyone seen her?" He asked again confusing them more but Lee knew something was up, he was invested in his bride's servant.

 -Later that day

"Your Majesty, her royal highness instigated this act as you know. I blame my brother for his behavior too so it's unreasonable to punish him alone. I only ask that you pass the same judgment to both parties." Yen explained calmly, unbothered by the anger in the Queen's eyes.

#He's so rude!# The Queen thought, wondering how he could talk to her in that manner.

"How dare you compare my royal flesh to you commoners?" She fired, wanting to get him annoyed. She wanted him to do something irrational to have a reason to punish him as she couldn't our word him.

"We may be commoners, but we are high class honorable commoners. We don't use unnecessary violent methods to deal with problems. I can take her as my concubine if you insist as I cannot marry a defiled woman. You can as well allow my brother to be married to her." He explained calmly forcing the Queen to calm down, besides, he was being reasonable.

"This is the kind of Lord you are, with undisciplined commoners. I'm not surprised, your father was a barbaric man." She said, annoying Yen.

"You enjoyed and moaned in his hands still." He whispered in her ears causing her to grip her dress in fear. How did he know about it? She thought only she, the King and the dead Lord Gu knew about it. She backed down and turned to face Luo. But Ian felt weird, why did his mother give in?

"If you ever make her cry, I'll have your eyes and tongues removed." She told him. Luo shivered, part of him knew that it wasn't an empty threat.

"We are honorable men, we ask that the princess commits herself to him." Lee defended, standing beside Luo. They shared this unbreakable bond, it made the Queen scoff.

"I'll ask the King for his approval." She paused as she turned to Han.

"Don't embarrass me." She said quietly as she left with Ian and the guards.

"I suggest you practice self-control as you'd share a compound with men now." Lei advised in a chill tone almost like a threat as she left the courtyard.

"Where is my maid?" Han asked shyly. She was too embarrassed to speak up.

"She's mine for now as your punishment, handle things yourself." Yen replied coldly as he and the other brothers left leaving her and Luo alone.

"I'll show you to your new room now, you can have the guesthouse but you can pay me visits in my house. There's a guest room there too if you'd like that." Luo said with no emotions in his face. One thing he was sure of was that he wasn't special to her and he didn't get butterflies around her anymore. Yi watched unseen. He was annoyed that Luo treated her like that.

"Luo, I'm sorry. My brother suggested all that! I love you!" Han tried explaining hugging his arm. She wasn't sure what to do since she got him in trouble with her request. Yi stood in silence, hurt by her words.

"I'm tired, let's go inside." Luo replied forcing a smile. If he had done things differently maybe he'd still feel the same.
