"Haha, nurse, is your measurement done? The doctor will look for you." Although the nurse's words made Ruan Ji happy, she didn't want to implicate this innocent woman and let her become a thorn in Ruan Li's eyes.

So she changed the subject quickly and sent the nurse away before turning to Ruan Li.

After he was gone, the hospital cabin was finally quiet once again. Ruan Ji opened her eyes as she turned around again, she actually didn't sleep, just pretended a little.

"That brother of mine is still as hot-tempered as ever." Mumbling as she searched over the bedside table, Ruan Ji found her phone.

After the accident, everything she had with her was intact. Nothing, not even the diamond ring in her bag was taken. One could easily spot that this accident was staged, only Ruan Ji was the fool for not realising it in her past life.

The small fries were taken care of by her temporarily, though the big fishes are still in the dark. They have yet to take the bait laid out by Ruan Ji.

Until then, she will lay low quietly, waiting for the opportunity to arise.

Even though her brothers didn't have a great relationship with her and despised her, Ruan Ji still didn't want to see anything bad happen to them.

Ruan Ji scrolled through her contacts while eating chips that her father left for her.

Not only this, Ruan Zhang bought every kind of snack from the mall on his way to the hospital for his dear daughter, because he knew that Ruan Ji was a little foody who liked to eat different kinds of snacks.

Even though her relationship with her family was strained, her parents did care about their only daughter a lot. 

Ruan Ji was happy when she saw the bag of foods, but more than that, she was also touched by their sincerity. 

Even though she didn't have a lot of time to spend with her parents due to the family situation. Her father who took control of the family management as the new head of the family was always busy, and her mother was busy with leading troops on the border to fight the barbarians that threatened to enter the country. 

Despite all that, whenever there was a little bit of spare time, her father would accompany her to eat delicious snacks.

And her mother also brought back the specialties from the border, knowing that she liked to eat. They would occasionally sneak her out to play too.

She was greatful to her parents for gifting her such a beautiful chilhood, and she was willing to repay them for it, too.

"It's almost time. They should've arrived here by now, isn't it?" Ruan Ji mumbled as she stared at the door, as if waiting for someone to walk in right in the next second.

In the airport of Dajing, 

A private jate landed in one of the airline's. It could be seen that the line was cleared a while ago, ensuring that the jate landed safely without any problem.

As soon as the door opened, a man in black military suit landed from the jate. He seemed masculine, with a strong air of dignity and suppression oozing from his entire being.

It was already odd that in this warm whether of Dajing, he wrapped his entire body with a specially made suit, boots and handgloves, he also wore a pair of sunglasses which made it impossible for others to see his eyes.

Even though he wrapped himself up like this, it still failed to conceal the handsomeness he exudes from underneath. 

All the military personnel present divided in two rows, making a path for him as they saluted him as per military rules.

"General Ye! Welcome back!"

"Welcome back, Captain!"

His subordinates welcomed him with their back as straight as bamboos, not sparing a bit of regulations needed. 

If unlucky, they might have to run laps around the training fields for failing to keep up their appearance as the special forces!

"After you return to the camp, run a hundred laps."
