Chapter 27

Samson, after finishing his sentence, slowly made his way to the bedroom. The day had been long, and he yearned for a relaxing shower. Once in the room, he laid his clothes on the bed and stepped under the hot water, savoring the moment as the warmth of the stream soothed his tense muscles.

Meanwhile, Gloria, as attentive as ever, was setting the table in the dining room. She made sure everything was perfect for Samson when he would come out of the shower. The cutlery was carefully arranged, and the intoxicating aroma of the meal filled the air. She smiled while adjusting the tablecloth, her mind filled with hope and passion for the man she loved, though a small voice inside kept reminding her of her doubts. But Gloria quickly brushed them aside, preferring to focus on the simple pleasures of their everyday life.
