Chapter 47: A Villainess Tries to Escape, But Fate (And Hot People) Say No!

Chapter 47: A Villainess Tries to Escape, But Fate (And Hot People) Say No!

Seraphina had one goal.

Escape.

She didn't care where—just away from the group of overdramatic, possessive weirdos who apparently all wanted a piece of her.

Her plan was simple:

1. Sneak out of the estate.

2. Find a quiet place where no one could bother her.

3. Enjoy some peace for once in her miserable reincarnated life.

Easy, right?

Step One: Sneak Out (Failed Immediately)

Seraphina tiptoed out of her room, dressed in a plain cloak to avoid attention.

She had barely taken three steps when—

"Going somewhere?"

Seraphina froze.

She turned around slowly.

Damian stood there, arms crossed, looking every bit like a mafia boss catching someone trying to betray him.

"…No?" Seraphina tried.

Damian raised an eyebrow.

"Then why are you sneaking around like a criminal?"

She sighed.

"Look, I just need some time alone."

Damian stared at her for a long moment.

Then he sighed dramatically.

"Fine. I won't stop you."

Seraphina blinked.

"…Really?"

"Yes. But…"

Damian leaned in, smirking.

"Take me with you."

Seraphina smacked his face with her cloak and ran.

Step Two: Find a Quiet Place (Ruined by a Stalker Prince)

Seraphina finally reached the royal gardens, a place known for its peaceful atmosphere.

She took a deep breath, relaxing for the first time all day.

"Ah, silence. Sweet, sweet silence."

"Enjoying yourself?"

Seraphina nearly fell into the fountain.

She turned and saw Prince Alexander, casually leaning against a tree.

"WHY are you here?!" she demanded.

Alexander smirked.

"Why else? To watch over you, of course."

"…I AM NOT A TODDLER."

"You do get into trouble like one."

Seraphina grabbed a rock.

"I swear to the heavens, I will throw this at you."

Alexander chuckled.

"Violence? How villainous."

Seraphina threw the rock.

Alexander dodged it with a laugh.

"Now, now. No need to be so feisty. I only came to remind you—"

He stepped closer, tilting her chin up.

"—You still owe me a date."

Seraphina kicked him in the shin and ran again.

Step Three: Enjoy Peace (Caspian Says No.)

Seraphina finally made it to her secret hideout—an old library on the estate grounds.

She flopped onto the couch, exhausted.

"Finally. Alone."

A voice behind her:

"Well, I was going to say 'surprise,' but you seem tired."

Seraphina's soul left her body.

She turned to see Caspian lounging on a bookshelf, looking amused.

"HOW DID YOU GET HERE?!"

Caspian grinned.

"My dear, do you really think you can hide from me?"

Seraphina grabbed the nearest book and hurled it at him.

Caspian caught it effortlessly.

"Come now. Is that any way to treat someone who only wants to keep you company?"

Seraphina groaned into a pillow.

"I hate my life."

Step Four: Accept Defeat

After an entire day of failed escape attempts, Seraphina returned home.

Lila was waiting with a smirk.

"How did Operation Freedom go?"

Seraphina flopped onto the couch.

"Kill me."

Lila patted her head.

"Aw, don't be sad. At least you know you're very popular."

Seraphina groaned.

"At this point, I'd rather be hated again."

Lila chuckled.

"Too late. You're the empire's most wanted villainess."

Seraphina covered her face with a pillow.

"I hate this world."
