Chapter 62: A Villainess On the Run!
Seraphina bolted.
She didn't look back.
She didn't stop.
She didn't even care that she was running through a vampire-infested mansion in a ridiculous silk gown.
All that mattered was escaping those three lunatics.

The Problem With Running From Vampires
Vampires were fast.
Seraphina was not.
She barely made it down one hallway before—
WHOOSH!
Lucien appeared in front of her.
"Going somewhere, darling?"
Seraphina skidded to a stop.
"…You suck."
Lucien smirked.
"Yes. That's kind of the point."
Before she could respond—
WHOOSH!
Damian appeared behind her.
"Now, now, little villainess," he purred.
"Running away is so rude."
Seraphina gritted her teeth.
"This isn't running away. This is strategic retreat."
WHOOSH!
Vincent landed gracefully to her right.
"Smart girl," he said.
"But futile."
Seraphina sighed.
She was officially surrounded.
—
Seraphina vs. The Three Idiots
Lucien took a step closer.
"You really thought you could outrun vampires?"
Seraphina put her hands on her hips.
"Well, I had two options: fight or flight."
She gestured at herself.
"Do I look like a fighter?"
Damian chuckled.
"No, but you look like a troublemaker."
Vincent tilted his head.
"I like troublemakers."
Seraphina threw her hands up.
"Of course, you do! Because why wouldn't my life be a constant nightmare?"
—
An Unexpected Savior?
Just when things looked grim…
BOOM!
The doors to the great hall slammed open.
A dramatic voice echoed—
"Unhand my fiancée!"
Seraphina froze.
Lucien frowned.
"...What?"
Damian raised an eyebrow.
"Oh, this is getting interesting."
Vincent smirked.
"Yet another suitor? You really are popular, Lady Seraphina."
Seraphina slowly turned toward the voice—
And groaned.
"You have GOT to be kidding me."
Standing there, in all his overdramatic glory, was—
Prince Cedric of the Royal Vampire Court.
