Chapter 90: A Villainess Deals with an Angry (and Embarrassed) Fiancé

Seraphina was having the time of her life.

Damian? Not so much.

The moment they were alone, he cornered her.

"Seraphina," he said, voice dangerously low.

She sipped her tea, unfazed.

"Yes, dear fiancé?"

He towered over her, eyes burning with frustration.

"You humiliated me in front of everyone."

Seraphina tilted her head, all innocence.

"I merely held you to your word. A man should honor his promises, no?"

Damian gritted his teeth.

"You tricked me!"

She gasped, hand over her chest.

"Tricked? I did no such thing! I simply reminded you of your commitment."

Damian pinched the bridge of his nose.

"You made me sing."

She grinned.

"And what a performance it was! I think you even discovered a new ability— breaking glass with your voice!"

Damian scowled.

"You're enjoying this, aren't you?"

Seraphina leaned closer, eyes sparkling with mischief.

"Oh, absolutely. And I must say, it was quite the spectacle. Perhaps next time, we should invite the King?"

Damian exhaled sharply.

"There will be no next time."

Seraphina pouted.

"But you promised, Damian."

His eye twitched.

Lucien, who had been eavesdropping behind the door, poked his head in, grinning.

"I, for one, think a weekly performance would boost morale. Maybe even sell tickets!"

Damian glared daggers at him.

Lucien held up his hands.

"Relax, Your Grace. I'm merely supporting my dear friend Seraphina in ensuring you remain an honest man."

Damian turned back to Seraphina.

"This is war, Villainess."

Seraphina smirked.

"Bring it on, dear fiancé."
