The Aftermath of War

The Silent Battlefield

The 10th month of Year 18 after Konoha's founding marked the dying embers of the First Great Shinobi War.

The grand battles that once shook the continent were no more.

Now, only small villages fought among themselves, trying to seize power amidst the chaos.

But the major hidden villages—Konoha, Kumo, Suna, Iwa, and Kiri—were crippled.

Clans were annihilated.

Elite warriors of the Warring States never returned home.

Even the great Senju Clan, once numbering over 5000, had dwindled to just 1500.

Of those, only 600 were still shinobi.

The rest—civilians, wounded veterans, and grieving families—could only watch as their world changed forever.

Konoha is now a Village in Mourning

As Tetsuma Senju walked through the streets of Konoha, the silence was deafening.

The once-lively Senju Compound—filled with warriors, laughter, and training—was now a shadow of its former self.

Many of its warriors would never return.

Among them were:

His uncle, Senju Hotaru, who perished in the Land of Earth.

His childhood friend, Senju Jiro, who died holding the line at Kikyo Castle.

Over a hundred Senju jonin, who bled for Konoha and were buried far from home.

Tetsuma clenched his fists.

He had sacrificed everything for Konoha, yet his clan paid the highest price.

The Hokage's Summit

At the Hokage's Office, the war council gathered.

Tobirama Senju, the Second Hokage, sat at the head.

Hiruzen Sarutobi, Danzo Shimura, Homura Mitokado, and Koharu Utatane—his closest students—stood at his side.

Tetsuma Senju, now the Anbu Minister, stood in silence.

The report was grim.

Iwagakure was leaderless after the deaths of the Second Tsuchikage and his shadow guard.

Sunagakure had withdrawn, but their hatred for Konoha remained.

Kumogakure had suffered civil war, yet they endured.

Kirigakure remained a lurking threat, biding their time.

The war had brought no victors, only survivors.

And in Konoha, the Senju—once the strongest clan—was now reduced to a memory.

Tetsuma's grip on his Chidori Kusanagi tightened.

If war returned, would there be any Senju left to fight?
