Grinding to Football God from Arsenal

I've read a few football fanfics from Chinese authors, and this fanfic was one of them. My review of this fanfic: - We all know that Chinese authors can't write a good football fanfic, they always add Chinese elements to every football fanfiction. For example on this fanfic: the author adds Chinese commentators like Zhan Jun or something. Why?! From so many good Western football commentators out there, yet he chose Chinese?! - MC beat up Fabregas with a stick in a training session, yet he suffers no consequences for his actions. If anyone had done this in reality, Fabregas would have sued him. - Mendes (a super famous football agent) chose a lower-league player in England as his client, he didn't choose his subordinate to handle this client. His territory has always been in Portugal and expanded to Spain because his number one client (Cristiano) moved there. It doesn't make sense he has the resources to have intel on a 17-year-old from a lower league outside his territory. ######### On another fanfic: - Don't read fanfic that has Chinese names as their MCs like Lin Quan, Chu Feng, Bai Ran, etc. They are horrible. - In another football fanfic, MC transmigrated into teenage Kaka. MC avoided a nightmare (Kaka's future wife), yet he chose a Chinese girl as his girlfriend because he thought Chinese girls were loyal. The Chinese girl was shocked because Kaka could speak Chinese fluently like a native, and she fell in love with him. Kaka's family didn't suspect anything about the abnormalities of their son like suddenly becoming a genius investor, speaking Chinese without seeing him learning anything about Chinese, etc.

I've read this fic on another site with 284 chs so I can say that this is probably the best football fic alongside that one with mc as kaka's brother. Here the mc regularly trains hard. What I like is mc doesn't shy away from his desire of wanting money and fame unlike other fics. SPOILER, CAUSE DON'T WANT TO TAKE AWAY THE EXCITEMENT FROM FELLOW READERS. I guess it starts from 2010/11 season and by the time he's 20 he got an impressive record of 59 games undefeated with Arsenal and winning Euro Cup with France (btw he's the captain of both the teams) and right now he is competiting against messi for ballon d'or who's in his best state with a recording breaking 91 goals and 113 GA. By this time he's a comprehensive winger/striker but he's best known for his long range shots. There is single fl who is an oc character who's the daughter of the owner of Sheffield United and is expected to get a child pretty soon. Btw author, do you have any updates on this fic and can you pls tell where did you read this and are there any similar football fic you know of.

Most fun to read sports fic on this app highly recommended to those who see this review.

passable the MC is likeable and the system is great he needs to grind the level and not just get something without hardwork, but the problem was the football matches specially in the later part it was almost just a summary of the game, like mael scored or his teammate scored or the opponent thats it the tactics has gone, it almost became a slice of life fic with a little football summary, a single match is done with just half of the chapter

Idk how the original work is but this translation is really good. If the author omitted Chinese Nationalism, which is ubiquitous in every Chinese fanfic, then he/she did a commendable job. There are no face slapping moments and Junior/senior sisters simping for the MC, so it's very enjoyable. The system as well only shows his stats and actually it doesn't help him by giving him quests and points therefore it's fun to see the MC's growth. I hope the author omits words like 'brother/sister' when the MC and his cousins talk to each other as these honorifics aren't a part of French culture.

Writing Quality 3/5 : It is a good translation but it has too frequent errors which kinda ruins the story immersion for me... untranslated chinese symbols.. Random chinese names. Updates 5/5 : Author is consistent Story Development 3/5 : Wonderful but inconsistent story .. People like stats for system mc's very much and when there are incidents of inconsistency it ruins the feel.. Atleast as of now the inconsistency is not too high.. Character Design 5/5 : Absolutely wonderful work. World Background : Small Issues but Overall wonderful. If Author rechecks everything before directly posting I think it would be a wonderful story

The best football story I've ever read, a likable and hard-working protagonist, a cool system that doesn't bother or threaten the MC. The only flaw is that the protagonist is Chinese and French; being one of them would be bad enough; being both is too much; I don't know how the other characters can stand the stench.

Well translated and consistent update. At some point it should be obvious that most of the time things would go well for MC, so if you don't like that then this one isn't for you. Still consider this one of the best soccer fanfic though.
