B [ Trying Other Paths ]

Alein.

I didn't do my experiment because I was hit by laziness. This is not the first time I've been hit by that illness.

I thought to myself. How does a normal person live? According to my aunt, I'm no normal and their surname doesn't suit my name. She said I should be with Osprey, one of my cousins, because we're both AB.

The loiterers at the corner also said I'm gullible. Is that true? Because they believe I believe I am.

I went straight to school because I had class that day. Of course, I was asked for my ID. I showed it to them. The truth is, I only brought the ID case. I just put a slightly thick blank paper in it. Then I put a picture of a dog back to back on it. That's what some other students here do. I just thought to imitate it.

I was allowed in. I couldn't help but laugh. Another gullible person like me. It's fun, I'm no longer alone.

I was heading straight to my room when a group of students blocked my way. They looked at me.

I also looked at them, especially the one in front.

He said I should get out of his way. I just looked at him then.

His companions seemed surprised and gasped. Are they running out of oxygen?

"Hey, did you hear what Kwin said? Get out!"

One of his companions shouted. Wow.

I didn't listen to him and remained standing, just looking at Kwin.

When Kwin suddenly pushed me, I moved a little.

"You're blocking the way," he said and walked. He bumped into my shoulder. His companions followed him, one of them even stuck out their tongue at me.

That was the first time someone bumped into my shoulder. It's insulting, like they're belittling me, even though I'm 5'8", just right for my age.

I don't want to make it longer, there's just one thing I want to do. I want to get back at them. They don't seem to believe in "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

I'll say, they've been like that to me for a long time, always and it's tiring. I figure it's bullying but they're tryna keep it lowkey. Who wants to be bullied? Also, for me, in this world, there are three types of people. First, those who are good and have a beautiful heart. Second, those who are evil. And third, those who don't care what kind they are because they know they will die in the end.

Anyway, I've tried being a good person. Now I'll try being on the other paths.

I'll think first about who are the people that always bothers me. Anyway, as my aunt said, I'm no normal...so I might as well use my physicality. We only live once, so I'll make the most of it.

Who should I get back at first? My aunt. She always insults and belittles me. She needs to be taught a lesson.

The next morning, I didn't go to school. Let my teacher worry about her life. I went straight to my aunt's house. I knocked on the door. She opened it and greeted me with her angry gaze.

"What do you need?"

I stared at her first, before I sighed.

"Aunt, do you like sweets?"

She furrowed her brow before answering me.

"Yes, I like sweets...especially chocolates. Why did you ask? Are you going to give me some? If not then, get out, you idiot."

Her mouth really needs to be taught a lesson. I left and went straight to the store. I bought ten pieces of choco tops.

I handed over my payment and went straight home. I got a big lunchbox and put the choco tops in it. So they won't get moldy because I know it will take a long time for my next thing to do.

I left the house and went straight to the house of Aunt Carol, my neighbor.

Their door was open so I entered the house. It said "welcome" on the doormat so I entered.

I saw Aunt Carol watching TV. I coughed to get her attention and she noticed me. I smiled and tried to asked her where Lisa, her daughter, was.

She told me she was in her room. I thanked her and asked if I could visit Lisa. She agreed.

I went straight to Lisa's room, her door was open but there was no "welcome" mat.

So I peeked through the door and saw Lisa scratching her head while playing with her doll.

"Ate Alein!" she shouted when she noticed me. I smiled at her and entered. I approached her and asked her why she was scratching her head even though I already knew the answer.

"I have lice, ate."

I asked her if she wanted her lice to go away and she agreed.

"Okay, if you really want your lice to go away, or have a feeling of ease for a moment, get a jar and a comb," I ordered her. She quickly ran to get what I said.

When she came back to me, she handed me the jar and comb. Then I sat her down with her back to me. I started combing her hair.

Maybe if this were someone else, I might already be disgusted. It was the first comb motion and the comb was almost full.

I took the nearest towel and wiped the comb on it. Even though there were many lice on the towel already, I knew it wasn't enough.

While combing Lisa, I thought to ask her

"Lisa, do you want to see a vampire?" I asked.

"Yes! I love vampires, but Mama says they're not real."

I feel sorry for Lisa. Well, that's just life, fair.

"Don't worry, when you have time, go to Aunt Marianne's house."

"Why? What's there with Aunt Marianne?"

"Just..."

I sped up to finish what I was doing to her. I put the lice I collected in the jar.

Lisa thanked me and continued playing again, I also said goodbye to Aunt Carol and went straight home.

I went straight to the kitchen and looked for the lunchbox where I put the choco tops. I also looked for a pan and when I found one, I put it on the stove. I poured water into it and place a bowl in.

I removed the wrappers of the choco tops one by one and put them in the bowl. I took a spoon to stir it until it became liquid.

Now, for the twist...

I took the jar of lice and poured it into the melted flat tops. I don't need to check if they're healthy or not because I know Lisa's lice health just from the appearance. I mixed it.

I think this is enough as revenge for that woman's sharp tongue.

I took a molder and molded the choco tops... It's now heart-shaped. I put it in the freezer to harden.

I guess the lice won't die, right? If that happens, this plan will lose its thrill.

I didn't take long to freeze the choco tops. I took them out and put them in a box. I cut a small square from the coupon and stuck it on the box.

I wrote on it:

Choco Sqr.

"First Ever popping chocolates"

Then I went straight to my aunt's house. I knocked.

"What now--- oh! It's you, you girl!"

She greeted me. I didn't hesitate to hand her the box.

"What's this?"

"Chocolates."

"Where did you get this?"

"At the store. I just melted it and made it sweeter."

"So you made this---"

"Don't you want some?"

"Did I say anything? Idiot."

She took the box from me and stared at it.

"Choco... Square...first ever popping chocolates" she read from the coupon.

"Square ?...Why Square?"

"Because it's shaped like a square" I lied.

She grimaced and opened the box. She looked at me with furrowed brows.

"You're really stupid, kid...it's heart-shaped! How can this be square. You're so stupid!"

*Just keep cursing me...*

"Won't you try it?"

"Psh. You might have put poison in this."

"I'm not that kind of person, aunt..." I replied, bowing my head...

*I'm really not that kind of person.*

"Go, get out. Shoo. Your voice is irritating."

Even though I didn't want to, I followed her instruction. Too bad I still wanted to see what would happen next, but I had to follow her because she's still older than me...

The next morning, Lisa went to my house, giggling. She told me she just saw a vampire.

I just smirked. This is how it feels to get back at someone you hate. It's like winning the lottery. Wait why did I mention lottery? Don't mention the lottery, it's too exaggerated...
