She starts coming closer to me while pointing her perfectly manicured finger.
"What are you?!". I look down as if I'm scared to answer.
"I.. I... I'm Lily's nanny". I still keep my eyes trained on the floor.
"So a dirty nanny now has the guts to exchange words and even push me? Are you kidding me? Who allows these type of people here?". I raise my head quickly and behave as if I'm offended. This woman just made my job easier.
"What do you mean by "type of people"? It's very clear that you are a racist! Are you guys hearing her?". That successfully raises murmurs in the crowd. The little fool of a woman, oblivious to what I was doing continues.
"Oh please! You just want some attention. That's how you guys even get your jobs. With your pity party. Guess what? I don't care". Have I met anyone so foolish? Absolutely not.
"Oh really? You are just a really bitter woman. But what was I even expecting from someone like you who can spread bad rumours about a little child?". The murmurs in the crowd increase and even some mothers bring out their phone.
"When did I ever spread any rumour about a child? I don't know what this thing is saying!". It's clear from her facial expression that she knows what I'm talking about and she's panicking.
"Oh! I must be mistaken about the fact that you told your daughter that Lily killed her mother and of course because your daughter is just as disgusting as you, she went ahead to spread that in class. Am I wrong about the whole thing?". A lot of people have gathered by now and phones are being held up. They all have angry expressions and that tells me that I have achieved what I came here for.
"Who do you think you are to talk about my daughter like that?!". Gosh! This woman still has the guts to yell. My blood begins to boil
"If you don't get away from my sight, I'll break your nose!". A good look at her face and a clear red bump as started forming on her forehead. That serves her right.
She does the next best stupid thing on earth. This woman slaps me.....
She smiles at me feeling pleased with herself. I take off my hand bag and give it to Lily. As I slowly walk up to the woman, she tries to put up a strong facade but standing there but I can see how afraid she is. That only fuels my quest for blood.
When I'm close enough, I hold a handful of hair and pull very hard. She tries to claw at me but I turn her around and hold her hands behind her. I push her to the ground when she starts to thrash around. Her screams start to fill the parking lot but I am nowhere done with her.
I take off my shoes and go back to her. I take a handful of her hair again and use it to push her face upwards to me. I start slapping her.
"Never spread a rumour about a child again".
I slap her.
"Stop being so fucking racist, bitch!". I slap her again.
"Teach your daughter the right thing". I give her another slap.
"And lastly, stop being so foolish". I throw her head away and start walking away when something trips me. I look back to see the woman walking towards me, her hair disheveled making her look like she just returned from war. I can't help the smile that comes to my face when I look at the damage I have done. Her entire face is red and her nose is even bleeding.
I don't get up on time and that gives her an avenue. She grabs my hair and pulls hard on it.
Oh no, she didn't just do that. I was literally up all night redoing my mini twists. Nobody touches my hair talk less of pulling it.
I give her a punch to her gut. I'm done with this fool. She's on the floor now so I use both of my legs to trap her in between them and start using both of my hands to hit her face.
"I won't spare you this time!". I start feeling a pull from behind and I thrash around in resistance.
I start thrashing around in the strong arms that are around my waist. The nerve of this person to hold me. Did they not hear what she said?
"I will let you go if you would like to sleep in prison tonight". Shit! I know that voice. My body calms down in his arms and I turn to look at him.
His piercing blue eyes stare into mine and I know that he wants to ask so many questions and probably yell at me for causing a scene here.
"I'm sorry. It needed to be done". Surprisingly, he nods in understanding. I start to question whether he even left the premises in the first place.
"Thank you". For what? He was definitely here.
"You were here, right?". He doesn't respond but I know that he was here. I suddenly start to feel embarrassed so I pull away from his arms.
"The show is over guys. The children are going to be late for their classes". Mr Ross yells at the crowd that is still standing there. I must admit these people have very misplaced priorities. How do the lot of them feel better about their children missing classes because of a little drama? Anyways, it works perfectly well for me. The whole plan was too humiliate them and make their credibility worthless in front of everyone. I'm pretty sure they will both be sidelined in the school from now on. Tit for tat!
"Your hand is bleeding". I look down to see Lily beside us. I actually forgot about her. She even still has my handbag with her. I collect it from her and bend down to her height.
"I'm sorry I left you all alone. Thank you love". I give her a smile. She gives me a peck on my cheek and runs inside the school leaving me shocked. I subconsciously touch my cheek and smile. Who knew all I had to do was get into a fight to be her friend?
"Let's get that checked out". I look at the bloodied gash on my hand.
"No need. I'll just clean it up and use a plaster or something". Like who goes to the hospital for a small injury?
"Ok if you are sure. Let's go to the car. We can go home to clean it up". I nod in response. Hold on... Where's the fool? I look back at where she was before and she's just standing up with her daughter beside her. Feeling a tad bit generous, I tell Mr Ross to hold on. I walk up to them and stand in front of the woman. I should start calling her Blondie since I could care less about her name.
"Should I call a cab to take you to the hospital? I doubt you can drive and you look horrible too. Don't worry my dirty salary can pay for the cab". It's either she's too angry or too shocked to speak because she doesn't even retort. This is no fun anymore. Well, she has had enough for one day.
I call the cab and wait until it gets to the parking lot before leaving with Mr Ross. I sit in the passenger seat while he drives. This beautiful leather seat....
"Remind me not to be your enemy". That catches me off guard.
"Huh?". I raise a questioning brow to him. He looks at me and does the last thing I ever thought he would do. He chuckles. The low bass sound fills up the car and brings a huge smile to my face. He can laugh! He is actually capable of laughing!
Today is definitely full of surprises.
