Chapter 7: The Truth Only For Them

The morning after their dungeon raid, Reo and Lucia sat outside the guild, watching the sunrise. The air was crisp, and the streets were quiet.

Lucia glanced at Reo, her expression thoughtful. "You were… different in that fight."

Reo smirked. "What, did I look cool?"

She rolled her eyes. "I mean it, Reo. That kind of power—normal adventurers don't have that. You didn't even break a sweat against an A-Rank monster."

Reo sighed, leaning back. He had known this conversation was coming.

Lucia had been by his side for years. She wasn't just a teammate—she was his best friend.

She deserved the truth.

He exhaled slowly. "Lucia… what if I told you… I wasn't born in this world?"

Lucia blinked. "Huh?"

"I was… reborn. I died in another world and was reincarnated here."

She stared at him. "You're joking… right?"

Reo shook his head. "I wish I was."

For the next few minutes, he told her everything.

About his past life.

About the goddess Celestia.

About his reincarnation, his abilities, his true potential.

Lucia sat in stunned silence.

Finally, she whispered, "So… you're not just some talented kid. You're… something else entirely."

Reo nodded. "Yeah. But you're the first person I've told."

Lucia looked down at her hands, then back at him. "Why tell me?"

"Because I trust you."

Her cheeks turned slightly red, but she covered it with a smirk. "Well, damn. Now I feel special."

Then—Celestia's voice echoed in Reo's mind.

"You told her, didn't you?"

Reo smirked. "You knew I would eventually."

"Yes. But be careful. Your existence is not normal. If the world finds out, many will try to use you… or kill you."

Reo shrugged. "I don't care about the world. I just care about the people I trust."

Lucia watched him with an unreadable expression.

Then, she stood up and grabbed his hand.

"Alright, Reo. If you're some reborn hero or whatever… then I'll be the one who fights beside you."

Reo raised an eyebrow. "You sure? You're signing up for a dangerous life."

Lucia grinned. "I don't care. Someone has to keep your dumbass alive."

Reo chuckled. "Fair enough."

In the sky above them, Celestia watched with a mysterious smile.

"You're slowly gathering the ones who will stand by your side, Reo… but your journey has only just begun."
