CHAPTER 10: Vulnerability

  Dylan's POV

  I'm sure it was her—the epicenter of my desires.

  The hot kiss between us made sure I tied myself to her hair and hung by her hips. Was she a witch of a sort? Because I'm enchanted~

  The knock on the door ruined everything. I was so close to winning the bet and moreover, winning over Scarlett. When she opened the door and I caught a glimpse of Ryder standing maliciously over her and feigning innocence, I grew resentful.

  I never thought I could summon an amount of resentment so ridiculous towards my own brother. Momentarily. Then, it subsided. I put my clothes back and straightened myself up. I made sure to bump into Ryder's shoulder to show my anger.

  That was enough indication. He didn't follow me to the balcony where I could calm myself down.

  The view was spectacular - just what I needed. To clear my head.
