CHAPTER 60 Let's See How It Goes

  It's been about a week since we rejected the offer from Ans Inc., and we sent them a counteroffer, which they are yet to respond to.

  The court hearing is just around the corner, and if they want a settlement, they would have to make it snappy.

  The situation between Ryan and me is still kind of shaky. We didn't talk after that day, and I want to find a way to do that.

  In the meantime, I still have other minor cases to handle, so I have to give it some time, too.

  One of which is a pro Bono. I decided to take one about to help some migrants. The essentials of the case are confidential, but doing this once in a while helps to boost confidence.

  I needed it for now because I'll need all the confidence I can get when I face them. The hearing was in 15 minutes.

  Which is more than enough time for me to get there and represent them. I left my office and headed to court. It's been a while since I last showed up in court. Let's see if I still got it.
