"I am sorry to disappoint you, Mrs. Wilson," I said, " James will be asking me to marry him soon and I plan on saying yes to his proposal and neither you nor anyone else can sabotage our happiness,"
"You must think you have a chance at happiness with my son," Mrs. Wilson sneered, "If you came here to see James, then where is he?"
My heartbeat increased as I stood there utterly confused while trying to grasp, "He wasn't aware I would be here, I came here to pay him a surprise visit so it's understandable if he is not here," I replied quickly.
"How stupid of you to think in that shallow way of yours Ellie, my son will never take you as a wife and that is why I believe he is out to pursue someone worth his time," Mrs. Wilson replied in a quick sharp tone.
"What do you mean by that Mrs. Wilson, what is going on, and where is James?" I asked angrily.
"I'm sorry, Ellie," she uttered in a voice filled with no remorse. "But James is getting engaged... to someone else."

　　Arriving home, Aria and I were tired, but I noticed a strange package on our doorstep.


　　I wasn't sure what was happening so I decided to wait for Aria.


　　"What's going on, Ellie?" Aria, on the other hand, noticed my hesitation and popped the question as she approached.


　　"Did you order anything?" I asked Aria.


　　"None that I can remember," she replied.


　　None of us wanted to pick it up as it could be a trap. Especially not after that threatening reply James gave to us. It would be better to be safe than sorry.


　　"What do you think is inside," Aria asked.


　　"I have no idea," I replied looking confused, I went away to the porch.


　　"What are you doing," Aria asked.


　　"Trying to find a twig," I replied. As soon as I got one, I returned.


　　"A twig? What is that for?" She asked.


　　"You'll see," I replied and used the twig to move the package. I poked it severally and nothing happened.
