CHAPTER 56 I Don't Advise Taking The Offer

  Ellie's POV

Upon entry, I encountered a lady in his office. She was leaving though but something felt fishes. "Oh, excuse me," She said calmly. I moved out of the way and allowed her to leave.

"So Ellie? Come in, have a seat," he offered. And without hesitation, I went over to the seat. I dropped my handbag by the side of his desk.

"Good day, Mr Ryan," I spoke.

"Good day to you, Miss Ellie." He replied, his words were kind of empty.

"You had a meeting yesterday, and I wasn't there," I revealed.

"Yes, we did. I was surprised you didn't make it, seeing as you swung by the office." He said, plunging me into a state of slight discomfort.

If he knew that I was in this building yesterday, then I have a lot of explaining to do. How am I going to tell him that I saw him being intimate with someone in this building? More so, how am I going to explain why I left?

"Why would you say that I swung by?" I asked.
