Evelyn's POV
It's been roughly 17 hours since James woke up, seeing him alive has to be the happiest moment of my life.
He had been showing good signs and even moving his fingers once in a while, filling me with hope. And after days of waiting and hoping and being strong, the heavens answered my prayers and brought him back.
I held his hands almost all night just to make sure that it was real and he was doing fine.
The doctors were with him and monitoring his vitals, and he showed signs of making a full recovery.
The funniest part was that he woke up just after his mother left the place, it's kind of like he was avoiding her, but that is just a conspiracy theory, the only thing I can think about is James is finally awake.
I realized that he would want to eat so leaving him here and going to prepare something wasn't an option, so I ordered some takeouts.
