CHAPTER 46 That Lobby

  Evelyn's POV

Of course, I knew that scent. How could I not? It was unforgettable—rich, warm, distinctly Nathan.

The moment it hit me, a soft smile tugged at my lips. From that, my face grew wide filled with smiled.

  Nathan.

I'd just been thinking about him, his name playing on repeat in my mind, and now, as if the universe heard me, I was surrounded by his presence.

It felt like he knew I was thinking about him, like he could feel my thoughts pulling him closer to me.

The happiness I felt was indescribable.

I forgot all about Victor's call and the reason I was even at the hotel. I wasn't thinking about room numbers or why I was there—I was lost in the scent of the man I couldn't stop loving.

I followed it, smiling like the hopeless lover I was, imagining how I'd run to Nathan, throw my arms around him, and kiss him like I'd been waiting a lifetime to do so.
