Evelyn's POV
I stepped outside, my hand running through my hair as I glanced around, wondering where I'll start searching for Nathan.
We needed him to help carry Caleb inside. We couldn't just leave him out there on his own.
But as I stood there under the cool breeze, the night air was just all over my face, as I let out a wide smile.
I couldn't help it.
I felt happy. Really, really happy.
I finally had an answer to the question that had haunted me for so long. Not all though, but I think I got an answer to the most important question.
Nathan loved me.
If I didn't get my answer directly from him, I was happy as hell. Fucking happy!
Maybe he was with Isabella, but that didn't mean he loved her. Just like how I was with Victor, but my heart wasn't his.
It made sense now. Maybe Nathan was caught in a situation just like mine.
And that thought alone made my heart dance.
