Evelyn POV
The early morning sunlight that came in through the window, painted the room and it kissed me right in the face.
That was what woke me up from my sleep as I squinted with my eyes adjusting to the light as I stretched lazily.
With a bright and big smile on my face.
I couldn't even remember when last I felt that way. It has been years. I turned to my side, and there he was—Nathan, still fast asleep beside me.
I just laid there, barely breathing, just watching him. His face was relaxed, peaceful,
My heart swelled at the sight. Seven years. Seven long years since I last woke up beside him like this, without him vanishing before the sun had a chance to rise.
The last time, he had left me without a word, he just stood up and left me there like I was a pimp.
But this morning, he was here. Still. And it meant everything to me.
