CHAPTER 96 Death Again

  Nathan's POV

I was weak. So damn weak.

I had always thought we were one step ahead of Alpha Sebastian Miller, but I had underestimated him—badly.

I should have known better. I shouldn't have walked into his pack alone, believing I could handle him all by myself.

I didn't see the trap coming, I didn't. I thought he believed I would shut my mouth after he offered Evelyn to me.

But I guess I was wrong.

Now, here I was, locked away like a common thief, when the real villain was free.

If anyone deserved to be in chains, to rot behind the cold, damp walls of a dungeon, it was him.

But this place… this wasn't the usual dungeon. It didn't look familiar. It wasn't the same underground cells where we had thrown our enemies in the past.

No, this was different. I had no idea where I was, no clue how anyone was going to find me. And Aiden—my wolf—he was gone. I couldn't feel him.

It was like we had been separated, torn apart in a way I never thought possible.
