CHAPTER 63 A Bitter Realization

  Julian's POV

I stood in the dimly lit space, feeling the tension in the air like a heavy weight pressing down on my chest. Amelia was pacing in front of me, her footsteps quick and sharp, the sound echoing in the silence of the night. Her breathing was labored, her eyes narrowed with fury as she spoke.

Just when I thought she had learnt, just when I thought she knew better.

"How dare you say such a thing to me?" Her voice cracked with barely contained rage. "You think you can just discard me, after everything we've been through? After all my sacrifices?"

I didn't answer right away. I didn't need to. Amelia was far too worked up to hear anything I said. But still, I let her vent, each word coming out like a slap against my skin.

"You think I'm just a convenient tool for your plans, that I don't matter?" she hissed, her eyes flashing with hurt and anger. "You can't just throw me away for her."
