CHAPTER 94 A Love Unveiled

  Avery's POV

The moment the hypnosis lifted, the invisible threads that had bound Dylan to my will snapping like overstretched elastic, he blinked slightly, his body tensing as if shaking off an unseen force.

His breathing was uneven, ragged, and his eyes… his eyes flickered with something raw, something unguarded, something that made my breath catch in my throat. They were no longer the controlled, calculating eyes of the Alpha, but something more vulnerable, more exposed.

I should have looked away. I should have broken the connection, allowed the silence to swallow us whole, to erase the intimacy of the moment. But I couldn't. I was transfixed, caught in the gravity of his gaze, drawn to the vulnerability that flickered within its depths like a moth to a flame.

His words, spoken under the influence of my ability, still echoed in my mind, looping endlessly, replaying themselves in an endless loop.

'Because I couldn't let you go.'
