Lily's POV
My hands trembled as I scrolled through the endless stream of news articles and social media posts. Headlines screamed Victoria's name, her promotion to Design Director splashed across every platform. My eyes narrowed at the glossy images of her necklace, the same one she wore at the auction.
"Unbelievable," I hissed, tossing my phone onto the coffee table. It bounced once before landing screen-up, still displaying the smug face of the woman I despised.
I wanted to claw her face off, and I wanted to do it slowly so she felt every bit of the pain.
The necklace was beautiful, I couldn't deny that. But what infuriated me was the way people fawned over her, as if she'd single-handedly revolutionized jewelry design and modeling. My lips twisted in disgust. What was so special about Victoria anyway?
Why was it always Victoria? Why did she have to be everywhere?
