Eryn POV
Luna Elsa slips from my bedroom, and I lock the door behind her. I rub my hand against the raw skin of my neck and feel for a mark. Looking in the mirror, I turn my head from side to side, stretching my neck to make sure it is really not there.
Tears of joy spring to my eyes when I realize there is no mark on my skin. I am not marked by Kyle. I don't belong to him.
Now, it is time to put my plan into action. Or at least I hope it is a plan. I reach into the recesses of my mind and look for Thea. I can feel her cowering as she tries to overcome the silver she was exposed to.
'Thea,' I whisper. 'You have to heal me.'
'I am too weak,' she responds. 'I need more time.'
'We don't have more time,' I beg her. 'We have to get out of here now.'
I rip the brace off my knee and bend it slightly. It hurts like hell, but if I can create a big enough diversion, I might be able to get away.
