It is cold and damp. My clothes cling uncomfortably to my skin as I try to regain consciousness. I struggle to open my eyes, but my eyelids feel heavy, and they only flutter open for a few moments at a time. My limbs are stiff and numb as I attempt to lift each one in an attempt to get more comfortable. Slowly, my eyes stay open for a little longer each time. My vision is blurred as I take in my surroundings. Wherever I am is incredibly dark, and I can barely make out the four walls that are containing me.
I sit up on the small cot and my head pounds painfully. I press my fingers to my temples as I try to alleviate the pain, but it is of no use.
I try to remember how I got here in the first place. I rest my head in my hands, as the memories come flashing back. Visions of wolves fighting one another outside of the gymnasium run through my mind. And then Luke poisoned me. I have never felt more betrayed in my life.
