　　"Ben! Wake up, Ben!" I scream in the face of my best friend and alpha.


　　Once Kira killed the third witch, the mist immediately stopped, and Ben's lifeless body fell to the ground.


　　I don't want to believe it's true. It can't be true, but I felt his tether to the pack snap. We all did.


　　"Ben! Wake the fuck up! You can't do this! There's no way! Get up man! Sarah will be looking for you!" I scream at him with hot angry tears streaming down my face.


　　Why would he go out here all alone? What was he thinking? He has never done anything like this!


　　Kira approaches me. I'm so desolate that I didn't even hear her coming. She begins rubbing my back, and through the effects of the mate bond, it provides me a shred of comfort.


　　"I am so sorry, my love!" Kira whispers to me. "What can I do?" She asks me gently, and I lose it.
