Olivia's POV
Christopher pulled into the studio parking lot, and the morning sun glinted off the sleek buildings.
We stepped out of the car, and I immediately spotted Harrison and Thomas heading towards the studio entrance.
"Mr. Wallace," I said, tugging at his sleeve. "What exactly did you say to Harrison to get me this lead role?"
"Didn't we already cover this?"
"Yeah, but... I dunno. It feels like there's more to the story."
"It's complicated."
I planted my feet, crossing my arms. "Try me. I'm a big girl; I can handle it."
His eyes darted around before he leaned in. His cologne's scent distracted me. "Fine. I may have... embellished the truth a bit."
"Embellished, how?"
"I told Harrison you were an old classmate and friend from school. That I wanted to give you a chance."
"Wait, what? Yesterday, you said you persuaded Harrison, and now you're telling me you lied about us being friends?"
