My back slammed into the tree trunk, causing the snow on the branches to fall in a flurry.
Before I could even react, his lips were suddenly on mine, forcefully taking my breath away. My mind went completely blank.
Despite the cold snowy day, he felt like a flame burning through me. Even the sharp pain from my back pressing against the tree was drowned out by the heat of his kiss.
He held me tightly, and the pain in my lips from his forceful kiss helped clear my head a little. I remembered that Frank was still outside in the yard, and instinctively, I pushed at him, but my hands felt weak.
It wasn't until he'd kissed me for a long while that he finally pulled away. Frank had somehow disappeared, and now, the yard was empty, leaving just the two of us.
We stood there, breathless, locking eyes, while snowflakes continued to fall on his head.
His face always had a way of captivating me. His kiss was like a drug, addictive and inescapable.
