CHAPTER 100

  Aria's POV

  Pain.

  It slammed into me like a wave. It crashed through my body, and I clenched my jaw, trying to endure it.

  But this pain felt so different, as though it wasn't coming from me.

  "Jade," I whimpered, gasping for air. "I think I can feel his pain."

  'What?!' Jade sounded panicked. 'What the hell? That's not supposed to happen!'

  My chest tightened even further. I could feel every ache and suffering that the man had been enduring—his sickness, his exhaustion, everything was pouring into me.

  I squeezed my eyes shut, "J-Jade," I gasped out, my voice shaking. "What do I do?"

  'I don't know!' she snapped, sounding frantic. 'I don't understand what's happening. Let go, before something bad happens.'

  However, I didn't want to. Maybe there was something I could do.

  'Aria, let go now!' Jade yelled.

  I didn't let go. I was looking for something.

  'Aria, you will kill yourself, is that what you want?!' She yelled.
