CHAPTER 101

  Aria's POV

  "I'm really sorry for everything, Aria?" Knox murmured softly.

  I kept my eyes on him. "What are you sorry for?" I asked.

  "Everything," he replied.

  I shook my head. "No, you have to be specific."

  Knox paused for a moment, then he nodded. "I'm sorry for not telling you about Astrid before. I should have. I didn't think it mattered, but I see now that it did."

  I swallowed, my throat was still dry, but I didn't care about water now. "And?"

  His grip on my waist tightened slightly. "I'm sorry for dismissing your feelings, for making you feel like you were overreacting when you weren't. I know that I would have reacted worse than that."

  I looked away from his earnest eyes. I wanted to believe him, but a part of me still felt hurt and betrayed. "And?"

  Knox bit his lips. "I'm sorry for making you feel like you needed to compete for my attention, when I'm already yours. I never meant to do that."
