CHAPTER 52

  Dario's POV

As I opened the car door for Aubrey, I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief. We were finally leaving the drama behind and heading to the meeting.

I glanced back at the apartment, seeing Sophia standing in the doorway, her face red with rage. I felt a pang of guilt for leaving her behind, but I knew it was necessary.

My grandfather never wanted me to be with Sophia in the first place. He had always had Bella Robert in mind, which turned out to be Aubrey Carver.

Aubrey slid into the car, a sly grin still plastered on her face. I raised an eyebrow, slightly annoyed by her antics.

"You seem pleased with yourself," I said dryly.

Aubrey's grin widened. "Maybe just a little." She gazed at me. "I love how humiliated Sophia looked." She smiled, running her hands through my arms. "You really need to take your girlfriend, Dario. She is no match for me." She whispered, her cold tone sending shivers down my spine.
