CHAPTER 79

  Aubrey's POV

I sighed deeply, my heart was left broken and shattered. Who could have thought that I have been living under the same roof with my parents' killer.

We ate with the same plates, and the fact that I even trusted him with everything.

I took a pause from my daydream and walked up to coffee table and made myself a cup.

I laid my butt in the sofa gently, gazing at the door. My phone buzzed on the table for the umpteenth time in weeks. I glanced at the caller's ID and it was Lucas.

"Can't he just leave me alone." I muttered, taking a sip of my steaming hot coffee.

After the revelation of who my parents' killer was, I had locked myself in my room, alone and I had shut everyone out, including Lucas and my grandmother. For two weeks, I have been living on coffee and sweets.

Tears streamed down my face as I remembered what my grandfather told me the day I found out who the killer was.
