Dario's POV
As we walked out of the courthouse, Sophia's smile seemed to grow even wider. She was beaming with excitement, and I couldn't help but feel like I was trapped in a dream.
"We did it, Dario!" Sophia exclaimed, throwing her arms around me. "We're finally married!"
I forced a smile, trying to play along. "Yeah, we did it," I said, trying to sound enthusiastic.
But as we walked to the car, I couldn't shake off the feeling that I had made a huge mistake. I felt like I was living in a nightmare, and I didn't know how to wake up.
As we drove away from the courthouse, Sophia chatted excitedly about our future together. She talked about the house we would buy, the kids we would have, and the life we would build together.
I listened to her, nodding and smiling, but inside, I was screaming. I felt like I was trapped in a prison of my own making, and I didn't know how to escape.
