CHAPTER 81

  Aubrey's POV

I could remember vividly, I sat in my car, thinking about my next move. My grandfather seemed to have crushed my hope of finding out the truth about my parents' death. But I was not going to give up. I was going to keep fighting, no matter what it took.

As I thought about it, I remembered the workers who used to work in our house during my parents' time. The butler, the housekeeper, and all the others. They had all left the house the day after my parents' death, and I had never seen them again.

But maybe, just maybe, they knew something. Maybe they had seen or heard something that could help me uncover the truth.

I returned to the house, anger coursing through my veins. I retired to my room, ignoring my grandparents who were in the living room.

"Come back here, Aubrey!" Aunt Rachel called after me. "I'm sure you were properly raised."

I rolled my eyes at her and walked out on them.
